We visit Petbarn Cannon Hill regularly, even though there are closer pet stores. The reason being this store has everything you could possibly need! It's well set out, clean, and the staff are friendly and attentive. They also offer on site dog grooming.

I've been really pleased with the Flybuys reward program. I shop for groceries at Coles, and use the Coles Express service station, as well as often picking up items from Target. It's nice to earn points and be rewarded for the places I normally shop at.
Since the introduction of Flybuys dollars, I have been able to take money off my grocery bill a number of times. The emails sent letting you know of additional point earning opportunities are very handy. I'll often wait until Friday for a larger grocery shop as often an email will come through that day offering Triple Flybuys points when activated for that weekend.

This review is for Hoppys Handwash Cafe, Norman Park QLD

Hoppys offer a range of cleaning services for your car, from the basic wash to a full interior and exterior clean. We have always been very happy with the thorough clean they do. The service is excellent- you are greeted as you drive in and are walked through the services available. Once decided all you need to do is put your feet up, read the paper, and enjoy a coffee from their little cafe.
Best visited early on a weekend (this place gets busy), they are worth the money charged for a car wash.

Approximate cost: $45 for a "Super Clean"

A friend recommended me to WOMO and I have been really thrilled to find a sight that not only allows you to read honest opinions from customers of various goods and services, but to share your own experiences. I enjoy being able to reference a business before engaging them.

I recently earned my first $20 voucher and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it was sent out to me. It's a nice reward for my opinion and feedback which I am more than happy to share.

This review is for The Norman Hotel, Woolloongabba QLD

The Norman is a great go-to restaurant when you're craving a steak! Probably the best steak I have eaten in Brisbane! The serves are large so I normally stick with Midi Eye Fillet, while hubby enjoys the substantial Rib On the Bone. We have never ventured into other menu choices (and why would you at a venue known for it's steak!)
Yummy food and delicious accompaniments, all served in a pleasant venue. The Norman lives up to it's reputation and marketing as the "Worst vegetarian restaurant in brisbane."

This review is for Wheel & Barrow Homewears, Carindale QLD

verified email - 04 Jan 2013

A girlfriend gave me a gift voucher for Wheel & Barrow and I must say it has been so hard to decide what to spend it on. This store stocks a wonderful range of goodies, from baking goodies and cupcake wrappers, to cookbooks, glassware, and pretty much every conceivable cooking gadget! Over Christmas they also had beautiful napkin holders, and various festive table decorations and giftware.

The service is always friendly, and helpful. This will be one store I will always visit when shopping in Carindale Westfield!

This review is for Sassafras Creek, Kurrajong NSW

verified email - 04 Jan 2013

We often pay a visit to Sassafras when in Kurrajong. It is a beautifully laid out Cafe/Restaurant with a little giftware shop attached. From the view across the Hawkesbury Valley, to the high ceilings, and polished wooden floor boards, and art works from featured local artists; Sassafras has it all.

The restaurant serves a superb range of meals from locally sourced growers from the region. The Head Chef really has his finger on the pulse, with menu items such as a salad of smoked duck breast, pan seared local pork loin, to a delicious stuffed zucchini flower and saffron risotto. And as for dessert: Im still dreaming about the chocolate tart I greedily gobbled down on my last visit.

The staff are professional, friendly and attentive. The added touch of the Head Chef making his way around the restaurant ensuring everyone is enjoying their meals takes the experience to a whole new level.

As well as the featured local artists, Sassafras has a range of locally produced jams and conserves, and other food goodies for purchase. The giftware shop attached to the cafe stocks a lovely range of jewellery, cards, handbags and home wears.

I highly recommend a visit to Sassafras Creek on your next trip through Kurrajong!

This review is for Wrapt, Kurrajong NSW

verified email - 04 Jan 2013

In the little village of Kurrajong, Wrapt is in a superb position with beautiful views out over the valley and towards the city. We have popped into Wrapt numerous times for both coffee and a meal. The coffee is made locally and is delicious. The menu also does not disappoint. From yummy brekkies, a range of light to more moderate lunches and a selection of lovely cakes in the display cabinet. The staff are always friendly, and up until recently they had a nice selection of gift ware to browse through also. The owner explained they were making way for a few more tables, but I'm hoping they keep a small selection of goodies (or even local jams etc) for purchase!

This review is for Carina Day & Night Pharmacy, Carina QLD

verified email - 11 Dec 2012

The Carina Day and Night Pharmacy is my go to chemist. It is open longer hours (until 8.30pm weeknights) and they stock a vast range of items and giftware. I have always found the service to be helpful and informative. The team go above and beyond to recommend the best possible products for you.
Being in the early stages of my first pregnancy and coming down with a nasty cold, I was relieved with the care and attention I received upon being served. The pharmacist on duty discussed my symptoms with me and recommended the best of my limited range of items available during pregnancy for me to take.
While busy, as all chemists can be, this pharmacy always has the right number of staff ready to assist making the service efficient.

This review is for The Shaftson Hotel, East Brisbane QLD

verified email - 11 Dec 2012

For a local pub, the Shaftson doesn't disappoint. We will often pop in for a drink and snack or meal. The pub has a section called the Verandah Bar which is open and breezy and a nice spot to spend an afternoon. They will often have live music of a weekend afternoon, while during the week they have live comedy, and other dining deals.
Of the times we've eaten at the Shafston out meals have been enjoyable. We particularly like the Bruschetta with tomato and boccocini for a mid arvo snack on a weekend.
As a pub there are various sections such as the more casual front bar, gaming lounge and sports bar.
We've always found the service to be friendly and efficient.
