I've eaten at Ha Noi quite sometimes and I think their food and service is good, and I've enjoyed their Pho too. Food comes quick but in no particular order so it quite hassle sometime when you come with big group.
family-owned and run restaurants that offer good quality food at amazing prices. Four of us ate for $50 including soft drinks. I love it when you ask for the bill and the mother of the family stands at your table and says let me pay for this one.

The salad and the sandwich are not bad but pretty average overall. the place is comfortable though, good if you come with your friends and sit down chit chat.
The burger selection is quite good especially the chicken burger, it so juicy and flavorsome. The service are not consistent as sometime they are very friendly and attentive but sometime can be rude like they forgot your drink.

very bad service, we noticed some wet floor and told the staff about it, but the spill wasn't cleaned up completely and the same waiter slipped and fell on the wet patch as he walked past 5 mins later. Food was not bad.
The décor is pretty basic, almost Spartan, but clean and not uninviting. Tables are of heavy timber with inbuilt BBQ bowls, designed for four people, but readily reconfigured for larger groups. It was 6.30pm on a Monday night and there weren't many customers inside when we arrived, so not having a reservation wasn't a problem. We were attended to very quickly and our meals arrived within ten minutes.

On the menu it semms awesome. With standard Japanese mains under $10, bentos under $15, free miso soup. The chicken was juicy, tasty with delicious sauce.
The food was fresh, very tasty and reasonably priced. There is also an extensive list of sake available, hot or cold. Good service from friendly staff.
I'll be returning soon.

We needed a little bit of help translating the menu but the staff were very friendly and happily recommended several delicious dishes. We will go back again & again!! The Fried Chicken is the specialty and definitely worth trying.
but sometimes the fried chicken was a hit and miss. The bibimbap and ramen were good but not entirely remarkable. the owner and the wait staff are not that bad and just ignore the smoke there guys. The food was good and I will come back again.

My Friend had their wedding reception there last year. Well the food are quite standard, the service was so so. They do yum cha as well but just not as many choices/variety as other venue.
The staff were very helpful as they help to serve us the soup to everyone and debone the fish for us too.

Loved the Massaman and Pork Belly, so many Thai restaurants in Newtown and this is one of the standouts. Service and atmosphere was also great but felt a little too watched by the waitresses
The other day we ordered the soft shell crab in plum sauce and pad see ew. Both were small in size then usual and I have had a far better pad see ew a lot cheaper. should be more generous as we had paid top money.

Who on earth that haven't tried this famous pie and hotdog cafe? I love to go there just to order some of their delicious hot dog and pies and sitting down and eating them near the bay.
Under $10 you can always choose from variety of hot dog and pies. just love the vibe and the people and the small cafe itself has great personality.

I ordered a wonton noodle, the Wonton was too big and didn't have enough prawns. very stingy with the food. Pretty average compared all other malay restuarants.
Craving for a laksa and the serve was huge. Flavour was good but not intense, and no clams. Probably won't get the laksa again but they have a huge variety of Malaysian foods such as kuay teow, beef rending, satays, roti canai.

It's a nice place for both vegetarian and non vegetarian people.
but it is very over price for the food.
We ordered the kangkung with garlic and it was very tasty. but the portion size is way too small for the price that i had paid. if they can increase the size and the service then it will be a great place.
I will still be coming back.
