Busy restaurant, Busy kitchen. The Chicken Green Curry, papaya salad is really good. but not happy with their service.
no smile at all.
Last three times has just been different. But today was it. Service was shocking and forget about finding the duck in the duck in coconut and basil. Was just nothing there.
The other dishes were still memorable.
I have been a regular customer to the Happy Chef since few years ago. I always love to order their fish ball noodle soup.
They let you to choose your own noodle. and it serve up very fast.
Years ago this place was nice and cheap. Not anymore, the food price in this place has been sky rocketing :(
Best service in newtown. You never wait for very long for food and there is always someone filling your drinks or serving you more rice. the pad ki mao dish is the best :)
The spicy ingrediants just explode in your mouth - a MUST to have that once in your life ! Thai Potong is the best Thai restaurant in Sydney - don´t miss it.
their food presentation is really impressive. The moreton bay bug tempura is really really Delicious. The atmosphere is casual Tokyo eatery with bench style tables but the food is a good mixture of popular elements of Japanese cuisine ( sushi. sashimi, tempura, robatayaki) Something for everyone and everything delicious.
It's a bit expensive but you will find it worth every single dollar.
great vibe. the seafood Paella is really star dish. Friendly staff, nice food at affordable prices, With so many returning customers and new customers I think they are doing something right.
Whitebait and White wine Sangria and it was all absolutely delicious! It seemed quite busy but the service was still excellent.
Steak and lamb tapas dishes were the standouts. Service was excellent and the prices were fine too.
I didn't realize if there is such a nice bakery near my house. The pork fennel sausage roll is so nice. Also their Ginger Brulee, a must try. definitely will go back.
Tried their Big Aussie Breakfast, and for $24.50 I think it's a bit expensive. It's more like a restaurant food than a cafe. Don't expect a cheap food here.
The quality of food probably very similar to the one that you would find in any other cafe but with a much cheaper price. The place design also very cafe style. There are so many choices around that surry hill area, you know.
Approximate cost: $24
It is quite a cool and modern japanese restaurant.
We've eaten here quite a few times and have never been disappointed. Every dish has always been perfect and the music always top notch.
they have a live band playing despite their limited space. jazz + Sushis = :o) !! Beef tataki, wagyu beef and seared sushis are the must have (and we get them each time!) This is an expensive restaurant, I mean with this value this is what you expect.
Better than KFC I must say. The Quarter Chicken menu is really nice but a bit too small for me. The peri peri chilli sauce is definitely a winner.
Approximate cost: $10
Walked past this shop the other day and was attracted by its unique diy cooking style.
First tried pepper lunch and made the mistake of ordering some teriyaki beef or something and it wasn't nice at all but the staff were really nice and gave me a nice meal half price!
Wagyu beef pepper rice is really delicious. be careful don't burn it :)
