This is an Australian owned internet business and at first I was almost wowed!!! by the unbelievably cheap deals! They do freight items usually within a week. However, if you know exactly what you want, you probably won't find it here as not all specifications are given. So, I sent off an enquiry. The reply came back that same evening and I was told to research the product and find the information myself. I am getting fed up with internet businesses doing this rather than taking the time to post the information themselves! So, I did some research. I found out that the prices are so low because the products are cheap imports. There are few details, the photos are small and, in the case of baby/toddler items, no age limit or safety requirements are mentioned. I did a little more research, as I was told to do!, and couldn't find out where this business actually is. The website copyright is a few years out of date and their privacy policy was last updated in April '06.

Trend Windows and Doors have store locations throughout most of Australia. We got double glazed windows for our new house. Our builder put the order in too late to get the colour of our choice so we had to go with a standard colour. We visited the store and spoke directly to the young fellow dealing with our house and builder. He was empathetic, polite, well presented, friendly and had a sense of humour and gave us his time and attention. We picked a colour and he took us to show it on some windows and what our windows would look like. While we didn't get the colour we wanted, the trip to the store was worthwhile. It was easier to deal directly with the company and bypass our builder this time. Oh, the windows look great and I can definitely recommend double glazing. Yes it costs, but it is worth it!

I've grown up with Hills products and now, building my own house, I'm continuing to use Hills products. However. I've been to Bunnings to see what's on offer.. not much. So I got a brochure and logged onto their website. I found the Hills hoist I want and will need. I click on store locator and noooo! it will only tell me 'sorry there is no store within 10km that stocks that product'. I try various other postcodes and get the same message. So, I rang the clearance centre, lovely woman, more helpful than the so called web site. They are waiting on the poles to arrive from head office in Adelaide. They've been waiting 'a while' for these poles and I was advised to call head office when they get back from summer break. Oh, I'll be calling them all right!

This is a difficult one.. I am an Epson fan. I'm a Mac user and Epson printers are great. However, their back up service leaves much to be desired. I recently bought a new printer and have had problems printing.. so I rang. The phone service is frustrating with advice at each step of the way on how to access the website - which I had accessed to no resolution. So I finally reached an answering machine. Yes, they rang me back within 2 hrs - I had to wait around. Brian was very helpful and sent me an email to solve all of my problems. Yeah, right. Numerous emails later and still they won't listen/read what the real problem is and keep telling me the same thing. A week later and after much stress I explored, with much trial and error and Yippee!!!! I solved the problem myself!!!!

Carpet Call have saved us 3 times. Each time has been due to flooding. The latest flood took out our entire house! We've sold the house and are moving in 3wks!!!! Carpet Call to the rescue! They scheduled us in for the day before we move (in case of any more flooding), the service was impeccable, friendly, empathetic, reassuring, confident. We got good carpet at the right price. You get what you pay for and all their carpet comes with a decent warranty. I can't recommend this company highly enough!

Greg is an Architectural Draftsman who deals with large and small projects. We already had a plan for our house, but needed it tweaked professionally. Greg runs a home business and comes to you. He spends time listening and chatting, getting to know you and ensuring you're both on the same page. He came up with some great suggestions for our plan and rearranged space a little. We are very happy the results and his cost is very reasonable.

I've popped into this Repco a few times. The service is always good, but can be difficult to get sometimes! They have a great range of products and will order things in if they don't have it in stock. The prices are as to be expected, but catch them at sale time and it's worth it. It's refreshing to be able to talk to a woman and not feel a dill for ignorance!

We've been looking for a tractor all year and speaking to many people. We were finally put on to Sota and decided to drop in for a chat rather than ring. Well, we quickly decided to buy right then and there! The service is excellent! We were greeted as we arrived, no mucking about, all questions answered, everything explained clearly with practical advice. No amateurs here, these are down to earth people with hands on experience. Great price. Good quality. They deliver and go over maintenance, safety and handling with you. And, most importantly, the back up service is there if required.

When I first saw The Good Life catalogue I almost threw it out thinking it was religious material! Not so, it's all about sustainable living, permaculture, gardening, health, organic seeds... natural, healthy living. It's a small company and has some interesting books I haven't come across before. I placed an order for a book that had just come into stock and was highly sought after and didn't hear anything for 2 weeks. I kept logging in to check my order status and it was pending. I emailed to ask what was going on and received a reply saying that they were waiting for the books to arrive.... hmmmm, misinformation or is the website not updated regularly.. It took about a month, by which stage I found I could have got it cheaper from Amazon! but, low and behold an email arrived saying that the order would be posted the next day. From here on it arrived quickly and in good condition except for a small buckle. I would only shop here again if I couldn't source from elsewhere.

We've visited all of the local car dealers looking for the right ute. Mitsubishi is the place to go! Not only are their cars top quality, they offer an excellent warranty! At Eastside Mitsubishi the service is top quality too, polite, patient, friendly... I'm female and I felt very comfortable! We got a reasonable deal with our trade-in and after some haggling we settled on a price which was very, very close to what we wanted. They offered some attractive deals with finance and insurance, but at the end of the day you've got to be comfortable. I elected to stay with my own finance provider and insurance company.... some prior knowledge helped me make my decisions. There was no pressure at all and all of my questions were answered satisfactorily.
