When I shop over the Internet my first choice in payment methods is always Paypal. Its easy and much safer than using a credit card directly. The fees aren't too bad, but when you have money coming to you from someone else the fee to transfer your money into yoiur bank account for transaction of less than $150 is a bit steep.

My favourite Thai Restaurant in the area. Especially dine in. Its a nice little place with great service and fine food. The prices are very reasonable. Its BYO with a bottle shop close by.

Probably the best Chinese restaurant in the area and I have been here many times over at least 5 or 1o years. The food is usually very good and the value is ok. Can be hit and miss on the level of service and quality. Can also be very busy at times.

A nice little restaurant and takeaway. Ths food is great and the prices are very reasonable. You will find the store near the Glen Hotel and next door to the Manor Chinese.

This place is a regular for us when we spend time on the Gold Coast. The atmosphere of the place is lovely and very Italian family. The Pizza and pasta is usually very good and would highly rate it at its best. The prices were very reasonable when we first started going there about 5 years ago, but seem to have crept up considerably more recently. But is it worth it? Well I need to have a Pepperoni Pizza from here at least once in a week on the Gold Coast.

A drive thru Bakery!! Actually I don't think I have ever used the drive thru.. But when we stay on the Gold Coast or visit for the day, there is always a trip to Goldsteins at Southport as part of the trip. The quality and range of products is great as you would expect from Goldsteins, but I particularly like it because you can sit and relax with a pie and a cake in a quite nice setting.

There are about 5 bakeries in the Eight Mile Plains area. If we are at home or in the area and I tell the kids we are going to the Bakery to get some lunch and its not this one there will be gnashing of teeth, squealing, and well you get the picture.. The Camp Oven Bakery has been under the same owner for a long time nad the quality and service has always been great for cakes, buns and hot food(pies, pasties, sausage rolls). Their bread is pretty good too.

These guys are specialists at moving pianos. We got our piano moved by them about 12 months ago and they were simply great. They showed up when they said they would, they moved the piano with care and the price was fantastic for the work they did. I would highly recommend them if you need to move a piano.

Bandbuddies is an online store that sells vitamin and food supplements for perople who have had bariatric (lap band) surgery. A good range of products and packaged to suit your particular needs.

If I am looking for quality meats then Pearce's at Eight Mile Plains Shopping Centre is my first port of call. Their sausages beat the supermarkets easily and the prices while not super cheap are competitive especially if you buy 2kg lots. The staff are always friendly and not pushy like some Butchers can be. The store is always immaculately clean and well presented and there is a good range of products both straight meat cuts and semi prepared meals to choose from.
