If you are looking for a place for Sunday breakfast the the Rare Pear is something worth having alook at. I have been here a few times for breakfast and it is a very nice meal. It can get very busy though so either be prepared to wait or go slightly on ths shoulder of peak times,

Had very ordinary service and food the first time I went here after the movies on a Saturday night. Thought I would give them a second chance but didn't get much better. Service was slow, meals were past their best by the time they were delivered and checkout was not very friendly.

This is a nice little pizza and pasta cafe in the Sunnybank Hills Shopping Centre. I have been there a lot of times over the last 5 years and the service and food is nearly always fabulous. In my opinion they have best Pepperoni Pizza I have had outside New York. I only eat in here though as the its just never quite the same as a takeaway.

A bit more refined that most fish and chip stores, and the food is generally very good. But I have had good and bad from this store. It can be very busy on a Friday / Saturday night and I remember waiting over 30 minutes on takeaway one night. Can be a very nice sit down meal for the whole family when the service is right, but look out for the missing calamari rings I ordered if you go there. Not sure I would ever bother if I didn't use the video store in the same shopping complex.

This review is for Roberto's Cakes & Pastries, Springwood QLD

If you are looking for a serious cheesecake, the Cheesecake Shop might be ok, but if you want great value and great cake then Roberto's in Springwood (just past the Watland Overpass and next to the Mower shop) is where I go. I think I first came across this store in about 1990 and whenever we have birthday parties or other functions at home the dessert comes from Roberto's.

This review is for F10 Quick Cut, Eight Mile Plains QLD

$10 for a haircut? This is industrial haircutting and not for the person who is particularly fussy about their hair. You put $10 in the machine and when your numbers comes up you sit down and say what you want and in a few minutes flat its done. It may not be perfect, and in fact a few times it has been much less than perfect, but $10 for a haircut is cheap. I get the boys hair cut there and they do an ok job. Word of caution though, don't go there within half an hour of closing time (6pm I think) as they don't take any new customers.

If you are looking for serious coffee and/or a nice meal then I highly recommend Little Green in the Coles Centre at Upper Mount Gravatt. I can't think of a better coffee in the area.

One of my favourite restaurants in the area. A plain looking place and the service can vary in quality depending on who is working, but the food is great and a family of four can eat here for under $50.

This is an interesting little shop. There is so much variety in the store that the only negative really is the amount of space to move around inside the store. Try them on a Saturday morning as there is usually a special product vendor out the front with a new and different product to sample.

This review is for Bellas Fruit Market, Eight Mile Plains QLD

This fruit shop has been here forever. I think it was the original shop in the Eight Mile Plains centre. The fruit and veg is always very good quality and the prices are certainly the equal of the supermarkets. I shop here at least once per week.
