Lots of reasons to like to this place. Love coming here after the monthly market in Stirling to sit in the sun and read the paper while enjoying their fish and chips or schnitzel. The Grill is also worth a visit. Tapas style (not so much Spanish as the idea of sharing), quite pricey but delicious. Love the pork belly best.

Looks like a lovely place to spend a few hours, right on the waterfront. Although it is nice and the service was good, the food was quite average. The pasta was cooked well but the sauce was bland as was hubby's chicken dinner. Reasonable wine list.

Lovely spot on the river with lots of atmosphere as there's often much going on along the waterfront. It was recommended to we try the steak for which this restaurant is famous - well cooked, sauces were nice - it just wasn't $70 nice... If I'm paying that much for a steak, I want wow! I found it to be pricey, tasty but not special. Disappointed.

Falafel - love love love their falafel. Often they don't even last to get reheated, which is fine because they are just as delicious cold. They also have lots of other veggie delectables. Their sweetcorn fritters are great as are their dips. Worth catching them at the central market too.

This restaurant oozes class. I love dining here. Service is good, however if you've been relegated to one of the smaller dining areas, service is slightly slower. I much prefer being in the main room for atmosphere above all else. It's hard to go past the bread and olives and the whitebait too. Prosciutto wrapped scallops are divine, as is most of what I've tried here. The beef fillet with mushroom sauce is incredible.

Name has stayed but food has changed over the years. Used to be Italian, now Thai - but both are good.
Massaman curry is always a hit in our family and this one is no exception. Also enjoyed the fried soft shell crab with a hint of chilli. Would recommend the ginger and coconut rice - subtle, but yum. Very reasonably priced, good service.

One of my favourite things about this hotel is the charm of the old pub. It has this beautiful open fire which begs to be hogged for hours. Hubby loves the lamb shanks - yes you can have more than 1 and the burger is good too. I really enjoyed the garfish which was cooked lovely. Been here a number of times, would happily recommend and look forward to returning.

I have flat feet. Flat painful feet. Have done for many years. I wear orthotics in winter, but tend to be a bit slack in summer - so I suffer. A friend recommended Mike at the F&L Centre. So glad she did. Although they do make orthotics, their belief is to try and retrain your feet to move the way they should. This can sometimes be a little painful (only while he's "adjusting" them). With exercises to work on at home, my feet are slowly improving. I say slowly as I've only been going for 5 weeks. However I've been having twice weekly appointments and have now graduated to weekly. Mike expects to see clear results after about 3 months. I can't wait. After years of pain I'm eager to be not as reliant on orthotics - if not free of them. Although a little pricey (health cover has now run out), it will be worth every cent if I can wear thongs for a whole day and not suffer for the next week. I will then change "value" to a 5.
On top of all of this, Mike and Wendy are just super lovely.

Although good value and the ingredients are fresh, it's still very much like a basic stir fry. Maybe I just couldn't get the sauce combinations right, but my meal was just average. Watching the chef however, cook on the large hotplate was worth it though.

Jetty Rd is always changing. Came across this jewel about a month ago. Service was good and friendly and the morsels of tapas were just delish. Meatballs stuffed with cheese, patatas bravas, slow cooked pork belly, calamari... all great choices. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu items. Love that the front of the restaurant opens up onto the street. Great feel.
