One of the most surprising experiences in a long time! Fine dining at half the rate - excellent. For starters it is all served by the TAFE students who do well for someone only learning the trade: we were worried for nothing. Our waiter was friendly and showed us to a white table in a spacious restaurant room. The meal was a flat rate for three courses and a coffee but well worth it - we had to order something different for each of us (apparently policy) and managed to have something of everything and lucky we did or we would have missed out. The entree came quickly followed by a well turned out main meal - there was beef, lamb, fish and duck to choose from. My partner is a vegan with allergies to wheat and capsicum but the chef created something just for her and it wasn't a salad for a change. 3 desserts were offered and mine was an apple crumble creation with cream, rhubarb and some kind of rosewater fairyfloss on top: I have never tasted anything so superb! The wine was extra but half what I have paid elsewhere so I had two glasses (great selection, couldn't choose). It was a satisfying filling meal in all - best value ever. Will definitely be having my birthday here!

Approximate cost: $27.50
