We booked in for a trial night before the actual 10-day stay because our dog is anxious around people he doesn't know. We were told via email "Drop off times are between 9am - 2pm. The earlier the better as it allows us to spend plenty of time with your dog during the day to get to know him. " Great. I got there at about midday. As I was explaining the dog's history and anxiousness to the person at the desk the owner came in. Our dog barked. Once. Not aggressively, not even loudly - didn't even growl. Just barked once. The owner immediately said "Take him out - he can't stay here", followed by "I can't take the risk". I suggested that if someone would spend a bit of time throwing a ball to him he would probably settle down. I thought that was the point of getting there as early as possible - as suggested in the email, to "spend plenty of time with your dog to get to know him". The owner replied "I don't have time to spend 1:1 with your dog, especially with school holidays coming up". Huh? I thought bringing him early was so they could spend some time getting to know the dog - that's what they said in their email.

Ok, what dogs they allow in their kennels is up to them - but why bother booking in a trial night (and allowing us to book the 10-day stay) if one bark is going to change the equation? Isn't that what dogs do?

Odd really. Probably a good idea to try elsewhere first...

Staff are lovely, they helped me out a lot given I was homeless and had very little money,
They were very understanding,
My dog was there around 3-4 weeks ,
When I picked her up she had a massive cut above her nose, I just assumed it was self inflicted as she is an escape artist and thought she may have scrapped it on something,
A week later taking her to the dog wash, which we have never had a problem before, she loved baths.
Would not get in for the life of her, she was terrified , which was kinda strange, after me physically picking her up and putting her in she was just shaking..
now I put it to the wound she had on her nose, something may have happened I don’t know.
Being a American Staffy with anxiety, I would hope that the owners really know who they employ.
But I cannot fault the owner she was really good to me.

This is a disgraceful kennel. Our two little dogs were traumatised when we picked them up and after paying $160 to have them groomed they looked as though an amateur had just shaved them off and not even bathed. The should lose their licence.

This place is definitely a good kennel to leave your pet :) the staff are super friendly, trusting and all have a good knowledge on a range of queries I had. It was my first time leaving my little jack Russell there so I was really nervous but when I returned my pup looked really happy and healthy. They even gave him a bath which was nice! If my dogs happy then I’m happy :)

Have used Diamonds for 10 years prior with no issues, but the last 2 stays (both 2016) show the quality has slipped dramatically. I think the ownership may have changed, but whatever the reason, we will not be going back. Our small dog came back this time reeking of urine and looking generally uncared for. We were very keen to collect him after our break so went early in the morning to get him and were told that they had planned to give him a bath but we got there too early. I worry that had we come after the bath, we would not have realised how poor the conditions had been.
So, never again I'm afraid.

Would definitely recommend this kennel.
My family have been using Diamonds for years and have never had a problem - always friendly, helpful service and the animals have always been happy and excited going in and coming home. Would give more stars if possible for cheap prices and amazing services.

Absolutely disgusting! DO NOT use this kennel! I have never dealt with such horrible, nasty customer service ever. I would never wish anyone to leave their dog there even if it was free! We attended the kennels to see if we could have a look before leaving our dog there. We were told they do not take inspections even though it says inspections welcome in big writing on the wall & would not even let us through for a quick look. The staff were rude and arrogant and their behaviour was disgusting towards their potential customers. The premises were very old and dirty. I would never wish anyone or their dog to be looked after by these kennels. I am looking into authorities higher up to take this company further.

I left my dog here twice. The first time my dog came back so skinny and I thought it was because I forgot to tell them to feed him morning and night, so I gave them the benefit of doubt. The next time I packed all his food from my house for morning and night and he came back again even skinnier. He was a healthy muscly bulldog x and now his ribs are poking through, I'm almost too embarrassed to walk him as he looks malnourished. I don't understand how this could have happened. I have taken my dog to many kennels in the past, this never happens and I also exercise my dog every day walking or running and dog parks on the weekend so it is not simple weight loss. Please think twice about sending your beloved pets here.

I left my dog there for easter weekend, after 3 days couldn't believe how much weight she has lost. I hv used others before and never had any issues ! The owner was so rude not only to me but to others as well. He was pushing and shoving my dog in front of me so I can only imagine what they do behind closed doors, suspect they didnt feed my dog for days, I am currently looking to make an official complaint. DNT USE THESE MONSTERS!!!

We have been to many kennels before, this one is the absolute best. Good service the dog was very well looked after. Thank you we will defenetelly be back. Stephen and hilda
