Another company assessed my partially working rangehood and identified the problem but couldn’t get the part. DoAll said they were the SMEG rep and could fix the problem. They charged $140 to come and then said they had to take it to the workshop and would return it in same condition if they couldn’t fix it.
3 months later and still no rangehood. They then wanted to charge me a total of $700 for a new $300 rangehood. I asked them to return my old rangehood in same condition they removed it.
They brought it back and it wasn’t working at all so they took it back to workshop and another month later brought it back with secondhand parts that didn’t fit properly and charged me another $390.
The owner was rude and wouldn’t accept responsibility that his employees had wrecked the parts of the original rangehood and said I had to pay for their time and stuff ups.
Definitely wouldn’t recommend due to the owners’ attitude and lack of customer service.
Office girls and technicians who came to my house were all really nice but DoAll is a rip off and wouldn’t trust them.

Approximate cost: $530

It is difficult to rate this organization as there is no provision for negative ten stars, so I reluctantly gave them the lowest available rating of a single star. Service was requested on a dishwasher. The problem was diagnosed on-site as a kink in the drain hose, even though it had been operating perfectly for 5 years, without any hose movement. The repair charge was $99. Unsurprisingly, it didn’t fix anything and service was again requested. This time the machine was taken back to their workshop. It was later returned, supposedly after replacing the water pump at an additional cost of $231. Again it didn’t work resulting in a third call for service. Back it went to their workshop and a quote was issued for replacement of the PCB (printed circuit board containing most electronic components) and a new thermistor at a further cost of $360. Already $330 ($99 + $231) had been paid and this new charge would have taken it to a staggering $690 on a 5 year old machine. Needless to say, further repairs were declined due to some doubts over the honesty and competence of this organization, after two failed attempts. All those unrelated faults at the same time - Hardly likely. But of course if one continues to replace internal components, eventually they will get it right. The dish washer was partially working prior to the second workshop visit. But when returned without those final quoted repairs, it completely failed when turned on, triggering the circuit breaker. This time whatever they had done had properly stuffed it up, rendering the machine totally useless.

A refund of the $330 already paid was requested, but Do-All Appliance Service never even had the courtesy to respond. Under Australian Consumer Law Competition and Consumer Act 2010, Schedule 2, Section 61, services must be fit and proper for the purpose that they are required. They were requested to fix the dishwasher, but the services provided did not do so, and hence were unfit for the purpose. There was a clear entitlement to a refund in law. When you have an uncooperative organization that won’t comply with the law, then one can resort to the courts or VCAT (Victorian Civil Administrative Tribunal) to seek compensation. But unfortunately one has to pay to obtain justice, and have the law upheld. However, fortunately both amounts of $91 and $231 had been paid by credit card, leaving a third option available. Under credit card laws, customers can seek a chargeback from their bank, and there are no fees involved. This was done, and although time consuming, ultimately resulted in the two amounts paid, being credited back into the account. So at least all money wasted was recovered, which will go part way to the purchase of a new dishwasher.

There are two important things to note from this affair …
First - Never trust Do-(Bugger)-All Appliance Service with any repair work. They are uncooperative and incompetent. It seems once they have your money, they don’t give a rodent’s rear end for you.
Second - When you buy any goods or services, pay by credit card only, not cash or any other way. You must also pay using an actual credit account, not through any linked savings, cheque or debit facility. This is important, as you only have the ability to request your bank to do a chargeback of disputed costs originally debited to a credit card account. Use of a credit card for payment in this manner gives consumers a certain degree of protection, against shoddy goods or service providers.

Keep changing appointment times. My washing machine still breaks down(Simpson), wait on spare parts. Over 6 week wait. I will now prefer to hire a washer.

I spent SIX WEEKS dealing with this company, and paid over $300 for the repairman visit and an expensive part that didn't resolve the issue. Very disappointed and I would never use them again or recommend them.

Called them out for dishwasher repair saying that it looked like the heating element was broken. Repairman came to inspect the machine, insisted it was the water level switch and organised a replacement part that was installed two weeks later.

After installation the repairman said he wasn't confident that would solve the issue and to call them again if it didn't work. Ran a load through that night and still had the same issue.

Called again and was told another repairman would come and take a look. A repairman then turned up with a trolley to take my dishwasher away to the workshop - not what I was told would happen. He said that it sounded like the heating element was broken and that I'd hear from them in two days.

Seven days later I called and was told they hadn't looked at my machine yet and I'd hear from them in another two days. Called again two days later and was told they'd fixed it and it was to be reinstalled the following week.

Ran a load through that night and still had the same issue. Called and they sent the initial repairman out who yet again insisted that it was a water level issue. I told him I still thought it was the heating element at which time he told me that would mean we were dealing with a new issue... nothing had changed from my initial call/visit. He pulled the dishwasher apart in my kitchen - kindly asked for towels to clean up, but didn't actually use them, leaving water all over my kitchen floor - then said it was the heating element and that he'd organise a quote to replace those parts.

Received a call two days later asking for an appointment time for him to come and check the levels again... head in hands, I told them I'm just waiting for a quote for the heating element to be replaced...

And then I never heard from them again.

Feeling frustrated and like I was being taken for a ride, I ordered a new dishwasher and unsurprisingly, the water levels are perfect, it runs hot and the dishes are coming out clean. I feel like so much time and money was wasted for nothing.

Service man damaged lid on dishwasher which was disappointing, company replaced part which was good. I would suggest that you check out reviews before booking service with any company.

A dishwasher that works intermittently required repairing.
The first time Do-it All came the machine worked so it was serviced. After that it failed to complete a cycle. The second time the repairer didn't turn up. They claimed they didn't get an answer but I was at home all day and they never called and didn't try the phone. The third time he found a small leak which was fixed but still the machine hasn't completed a cycle.

I now need to get them again but the phone goes on hold and I can't get through before the phone dies.

They seem to be ok when they're here but the job just isn't getting done.

I called another company to fix my dryer. The other company told me to take the dryer off the wall myself before they come. I called do all and they came out, took the dryer off the wall and repaired it. The service man was very friendly and professional and the price was fantastic! much cheaper than what the other company quoted me! will recommend them to all my friends, family and business colleagues.

They took my fridge away saying it was one thing broken, after a number of calls to them without being called back I was told, no it was something else.

Weeks pass with no update, then called and told it was "beyond repair" and no use to fix it. I asked for my appliance to be returned and booked in a time. They did not come! I called and booked in another time. They do not come.

After days they call back, said they could now fix it, in fact they had gone against my wishes and started and then informed me the charge is now more than it would to buy a new one!

I said no I wanted it back, I never asked that they go ahead with the repair and I have wasted two days waiting for delivery. We booked it in to be returned. I was then called an hour after they said they would show up, saying it will not be delivered unless I paid a large amount of money, they are refusing to allow me to have my fridge as they had started repairs (after I had asked to have it returned) which was never agreed upon and thus far have taken two and half days off work! They are now refusing to return my goods! They even said they "did not care" that they had wasted my time.
