We had foxtel before we moved into our new place and had to switch to austar.

Channels for everybody! love that you can switch your subscription whenever you like.

Love that we could watch and record programs at the same time and the movies are cheap also.

The only problem we ever had was when the weather was bad sometimes the channels would cut out but i spose thats beyond their control.

Great customer service, no waiting in long queues over the phone. Price isnt too bad either.

My partner & I looooovvvve our Foxtel, and our IQ! You can't get it without the IQ! We watch 2-3 hours TV a night, so Foxtel is great, and our shows are series linked, so we get them all. We record everything and watch it when we're ready.

Very bad customer service i am moving to a brand new block of units where the wiring is not yet completed & foxtel can not be installed at the moment however rather than refund me the $105 they direct debited from my account they are happy to take my money for a service that is not being provided just my bad luck was pretty much all i got from the sarcastic not helpful young man on the line i may as well of just gone & thown $105 in the bin what a waste!

Hi Lb29, We would advise you to contact Consumer Affairs to determine the best course of actions, as this is simply not good enough. Unfortunately, Foxtel is notorious for these types of bungles and need to be held to account. Continuing to pay for a service that cannot be utilized (through no fault of your own) is scandalous and not paying may result in credit issues. I am so frustrated with the process of trying to get my remote control replaced. I went to the Foxtel website and found some location for the kiosks and chose what I thought was the closest to home. I tried to ring the kiosk number listed on the Foxtel website but got a voicemail. I tried three other kiosks in different locations and same result. I then rang the support line and before I managed to finish my question, the line got it off. So we decided to nance it by going to the kiosk. When we
got to the Centro Galleria in Morley kiosk,the kiosk staff said
that it was out of stock. To his credit he asked where we lived and suggested a couple. The problem was, none of the two he mentioned was even listed in the Foxtel website! The kiosk guy said because they were roaming ones. He proceeded to ring another kiosk and they had run out too. So he said there was another kiosk in Innaloo that definitely had it in stock. So we rushed there before it closed at 5pm. The remote was in stock, but the kiosk staff said there is a chance the EFTPOS machine wasn't working and they can't take cash!Her manager apparently knew about it a few days earlier but no replacement was brought there. Anyway, we managed to buy the remote as the machine worked after all.

Very poor

I've been with Foxtel for about 9 months now and am never looking back. There's always something to watch, and something for everyone of every age. When I considered cancelling because no one in the family just had to time to really enjoy it, Foxtel cut $10 off my monthly bill and gave me movie channels for free! Really great service, and great entertainment.

i just join foxtel recently and got a package with 3 months free plus connection. with this we got mystar and well to be able to record shows and watch them at a later date and have up to 90hours of recording time. the price was great also with the start up package and a movie channel package great for the money and we will be keeping this for at least 12 months the rep who can gave us a second box for the first month for free love the extra channels and the docos are great

foxtel is great, its worth every cent as i can hardly find anything worthwhile on free to air tv to watch
with foxtel you can record your programs and click on series link so you can watch them when you like

Appaling customer service.. Pity there's no competition.

We have had foxtel for years now in 2 rooms of our house. When I called to explain an issue with our box then the best help I got was "reset your box".
When I asked the girl about changing from the SD box with scart to the SD box with HDMI and she told me that the boxes are for the exact same plan however I could not get the HDMI box because only new customers get that box.
The fact my box is faulty they still made it clear they would not consider swapping me to the HDMI box if my box was proven to be faulty.

Every time I have called I have been disappointed by the service.

Not to mention the amount of ads shown on PAY TV

If there was competition then we would have swapped long ago.

Foxtel is fantastic for our children. I find it a bit boring at times, but my husband loves it. I find there are so many ads on some channels. I also find lots of repeats on some channels too. We have never had any problems with our connection, viewing or needed a tech to come out.

While the television service itself is great to have if you have children or special viewing requirements, the staff and policies leave a lot to be desired.
Much customer service training is needed to ensure customers are left happy ans not feeling "unimportant" and just like another number.
The staff generally make you feel like all they are interested in is our business, and even then they don't often seem too worried about that either!
