Great place to get computers and other electricals. Even better now you can search for what you want on their revised website. Got my Sony LCD TV and Blu-Ray player, a new door, rug from here

I have made a number of purchases from Graysonline, and have found them to mis-advertise the product. The recommended detail price is always over priced by as much as 40%, most products are inferior products from China with claims that it is always from a "leading distributor", the leading distributer is never disclosed.
The last purchase I made is the final straw, I made a purchase for an expensive jewelry with it being claim that is was a well know brand "Tiffany". It also had a valuation done from a group in Sydney.
However when I took the product to get valued at Tiffany we were told it could not be confirmed as a Tiffany brand, therefore could not be valued. We took the product to another valuer and was told that "they had issues with Graysonline and the Sydney valuer tend to over value the product.
Since then I have tried to get in contact with Grays about the problem, 3 weeks and still no response. Customer service is currently non existance.

Approximate cost: $3500

Nothing short if disaster. Used to be good but suspect use of credit card are you sure your details are safe?
If you have a problem talking to them is bad and have to wait 3 weeks to actually get somewhere and when told the complaint is closed i had never had a call back at all!!
Just the same as banks i would say now. Too big to give proper customer service and charge an arm and a leg and then hide behind terms and conditions that aren't really true.

Hey add up the overall stars and make an average it comes to 2.7 but the overall rating is still a 4.
This makes the sites over rated by 1 star. Is this an effective tool then if it does not reflect accuracy?

We have gone to the physical auctions quite a few times and have really got some bargins, however you do need to be careful. You get the best deals on high quality items that are end of lines (i.e. the manufacturer discontinues the range so they sell off the remaining stock very cheaply. Through this we have got a 5 burner Blanco oven and cook top for less than a third of the price you can buy it in a store, and there was nothing wrong with it, and really made a big difference to our kitchen renovation.

This online auction is a hit and miss. Fantastic for purchasing good quality wine at a cheap price. However have bought door handles from the site that could not be used. Be careful of the premium they add to the cost and sometime the delivery fee is very steep.

There is a spot on the bid page to check on what the premium will be and how much to deliver or if you have to pick up. I always do this so as not to pay too much in all for the item

I spent a great deal of money by separately bidding & winning auctions for a set of Tiffany Collectable lighting. One desk lamp, Floor Lamp & two chandeliers. As I had just bought my first home & was busy decorating it. In total I had bought $1000 worth of lighting through there auctions & was extremely excited about receiving my lights. All arrived except the floor lamp. When I called & spoke to them about it I was told that there was a despatch error & they would try & find another one for me as only had one floor lamp left & it was currently being auctioned. I enquired as to why they couldn't just cancel the current auction & give me that floor lamp seeing that I had already won the auction & had been waiting almost a month for it to arrive. To save confusing you with there long winded explanation I was simply told that they couldn't stop an auction as it was against company policy (even though there had been no bids & I had already won an auction for the same thing). I was further told that I would just have to hope & wait that the person who was incorrectly sent the floor lamp would notify them & send it back.

Anyway a few weeks later I finally received my lamp! I was so excited until I opened the box & found that it was smashed. It had obviously been repacked at some stage & the big heavy brass base had been thrown directly into the leadlight shade causing irrepairable damage. It almost took me another 2 months to get a refund. Not to all the time taken to write the emails, waiting on the phone & taking pictures for evidence.

They refused to replace it & also refused to allow me to return the rest of the set I had purchased now that it was no longer a set. This is the short version of a very terrible ordeal. As it took so many calls & emails....then threats of getting the Department of Fair Trading involved before I was treated right & even then it was far from acceptable customer service that I received. In the end I believe it easier, less time consuming & at the end of the day possibly even vheaper to go to the shops & buy things rather then ever go through another auction with Grays again.

Approximate cost: $290.00

Is there such thing as a bargain? At Grays it would appear so but when you scratch the surface your tend to get what you pay for.

Grays is predominantly a factory seconds auctioneer so take caution when bidding. Most items will have some sort of problem/fault, I would recommend going down to the live auctions to look at what you are buying.

At first I was enthralled and bid on heaps of stuff. Some real bargains, others are probably not. The thrill of bidding on and winning large quantities of stuff I never needed wore off quite quickly. Delivery can be difficult if you aren't home and don't work in a place that can accept your deliveries. Quality of product varies widely. Some stuff I got was pretty poor quality. Others were ok. Nothing was quite an amazing bargain as it seemed.

Lately, I have bought a few rugs, beautiful Egyptian cotton sheets, lighting etc. To buy on this auction site is great value. The quality has been very good. However, with the lights I was not too impressed.
