[Redacted due to generalised comment] booked broadband they made a date for installation, that day came no one showed up when i rang them was told "we looked into it broadband is not available" they did not have the decency to send an email or a txt to inform me but left me waiting for them to show up horrible horrible company to be avoided at all costs

All round nightmare to deal with. Customer service is horrendous. We are still waiting to hear back to confirm an account closure 3 months ago. We had cancelled our account at the time and were informed there would be no cancellation fee as this was cancelled within the 21 day cooling off period and before anything was able to go ahead. Yet our account has been up and running since then unbeknownst to us and we are now being charged - All emails to support have been ignored and no one can help me over the phone thanks to language barriers - last phone call took 30 MINUTES to confirm the spelling of my name - and it still got us nowhere
Highly recommend NOT choosing iinet. Experience has been horrible

Nightmare company to deal with. My experience with iiNet has been frustrating and dreadful. Tried to get the NBN connected, the call centres are terrible, queuing for long periods of time and then get cut off. Not sure how this company can still be in business.

1 Star is too high for unorganization at this level .
I keep waiting for the ring Leader to jump right out of the balloon act they have going on at the website .

One major point you need to know is I was a member of this outfit for far too long ,and in fact in the vicinity of 12 years
Westnet/iinet have out sourced it’s support and sales team to an over seas handler namely South Africa ,so it’s not really local anymore ,and it's not the same good service anymore believe a guy who has been with them for over 12 years.
Westnet or iinet as they like to be called now used to be good. But that's all over ,back to the balloons and whistles on their website which i mentioned before ,in hindsight it is a drill in reality of the service you'll be experiencing.Their customer service is dishonest and clueless. Your sanity and money going to a circus act .
I have had all types of reasons to leave ,you drill them over a double billing you found by accident and they apologize and promise to refund but you'll be ringing them again because they didn't do it ,only to receive another apoligy . Repetition is with many issues they have probably because they don't sufficiently update the system with correct information for some reason that I still don't understand .I used their complete service internet mobile phone and email for the record .The Excess Data charges for data I had not used, they will even go on to tell me going by my data history they could see I wasn’t typically using the traffic but couldn’t explain the charges ,but still charged me ??? .Their tech team explained that someone was somehow stealing data ,which is ludicrous when the laptop isn’t even booted up. They declined to give me any further explanation which is so frustrating ,they leave you hanging at the end .I cancelled Premium sms services with westnet/iinet to stop being charged for them and they instructed me that by doing this the charges will cease but they didn’t .I was being charged up to $50 a month extra ,5 attempts with multiple phone calls to customer support and they never stopped the charges .This cost me over $200 >iinet told me in the beginning that it was probably a scam and to not reply to these unsubscribe sms or it may cause you to be charged so I didn’t. But that was completely the wrong information they could give me. After follow up phone calls even though they instructed me incorrectly they would refuse any compensation for it.Promises to recontact me to fix the issues repeatedly never happened,they failed to even have the courtesy to fulfill the promise to ring back many times ,I mean many..Out right dishonest type business policies like this amount to you leaving iinet because you simply have no choice .And all behavior from a supposed leader in customer support and services. The persistent problems will drive you insane ,and when you query a problem you will have to wonder that even this query is probably already being botched .For some reason they just keeping getting it all wrong .They lead you into direct debit , getting hold of your direct debit details to to pull charges out gives them the upper hand not to actually fix problems like the above , this is the only provider that demands it ,keep that in mind.
Sleeping on problems isn't the way to live.
That's my review and it was also a way of getting this off my chest .

Worst service from Iinet ever. Requested Naked Dal Services & supported to be active in august but didn't received service util nearly 45 days and when finally got services that I never asked for it(Adsl2+).
Customer care made promises to contact me In regards to this issue but never been contacted, seems like Iinet don't care about customers.
Currently I am without internet and don't know for how long.
I thinks I made a mistake by choosing Iinet.
Waste of my time and money.
Really disappointed with customer service and services.

wish I had of read all the other reviews before I signed up to change to NBN
I have wasted days of my life not to mention money and still cant get any sense out of these kids playing at the call centre in South Africa
The wrong address was linked to my account so my new modem was sent to Nerang rather than Brisbane also they had this address down for the NBN connection and they dont even have NBN there.
Tried to tell them they had the wrong address and sending the modem to wrong address every one assured my it would be fixed YES NOT the modem has now gone to the wrong address and I am told i cant now get mine yet as one has been sent ( to the wrong address ) I cant now seem to get a time to get NBN because it is now signed up to the Nerang address and maybe I will have to start with sales all over again .
this has reduced me to tears as I have other issues far more important going on in my life. I am now waiting for someone else who assures me they will take care of the issues STILL WAITING do not go with this company not worth the stress

Technical support is well below what technical support should be. Seems like they are all trained to read from a book of excuses as each time you contact for a resolution during the process you are given a different reason for the slow speed to your service. In today's world to get a resolution to last longer than 5 days is well below what should be expected given our technical advances, but it seems like iinet is still stuck in the 90's with their support service. Don't bother asking to escalate your case and deal with a supervisor as they also provide this poor service, no wonder the lower level technical support personnel are like they are - as they say "fish rot from the head down!

I have absolutely horrible experience with the iinet internet service. I had naked DSL unlimited connection, there was massive speed slow down issues. I was only getting 183kbps for 14 days.
I called them up but they did not sort the issue but left me hanging on the phone for 3 times and cut off the line for 1 time. Seriously??
iinet is one of the worst decision I have made in my life.

Been a customer for years and years, switched last Friday to the NBN, they sent numerous emails and texts saying we had appointment between 7am-2pm, so we waited at home ALL day, no one came, rang at 2.30 to be told it had been done !! ALL done at the exchange, no decency to ring and tell us, only when I went to use computer and then home phone, neither worked !! Then finally got a girl who spoke reasonable English who got someone else to call my mobile back and help set up modem, not that he was any help as I was doing all the talking and asking the questions, don't know if he had much idea. NOW home phone hasn't worked for 5 days, my husband is in a wheelchair, can't use mobile phone and relies on home phone to call me if I am out, their service sucks, they do not answer emails.
No one ever said we would be without a home phone AT ALL, we are furious with this mess. We want our home phone working, bet we still get charged rental on it !!!! NOT HAPPY AT ALL iinet !!!
