Absolutely useless!!!

ABSOLUTELY USELESS!!!. Had been a customer for last 20 years but trying to cancel after poor customer service experience was impossible. Tried for 3 months, continually being told I had to provide date of birth but they had that as it was always asked for when speaking to them, they also said I had to provide facial recognition which I refused so they would not cancel.

SOLUTION: Call the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman on 1800 062 058. Received a call back from Internode within 24 hrs and miraculously there was a way to cancel without providing facial recognition. I am in the process with Ombudsman of seeking credit for not being able to cancel for 3 months.

Last advice - Stay away from anyone associated with iiNET, which includes the following, (Vodafone, TPG, iiNet, AAPT, Internode, Lebara and felix) They all have the same mantra (i know because I have another account with iinet and there behaviour is exactly the same, I will be cancelling this account also)

Atrocious. stay away

10yr customer. Sold me service speeds i couldn’t access at my address (overcharged me for years). Have since spent 3 months trying to cancel my service and they still invoice me.
Internode are grifters that have no care for the customer selling mediocre service at a premium.
STAY AWAY AT ALL COST

Skimping on cvc ?

I would love to know the amount of CVC (wholesale bandwidth) that Internode is purchasing from nbn but doubt that they would be forthcoming in providing that info.

My educated guess is that if they were not skimping on CVC, the situation related to constant dropouts, as reported by many of their users, would be greatly improved.

Absolutely woeful tech support. I’ve been experiencing drop outs for 6 months and their only course of action is to send an NBN tech to confirm I am having drop outs due to a fault on the line, but they seem unwilling or unable to work with the NBN to rectify. I’ve seen 20 or more NBN technicians come to the house and nothing they have said or done helps and yet Internode just keep sending them in between calling me up and hoping that my connection has magically started to work again. I get the distinct impression that they’re a business in over their head.

I have to report the subpar, ridiculous, annoying, indecent job that Internode has been doing so far. I subscribed for a plan in October and I still do not have broadband at home. Not to mention the several hours on the phone trying to sort all kinds of technical issues (most of which I have no idea of), waiting patiently at home for the tech team, and declining jobs because I do not have broadband (I work from home and need lots of data).

The last straw was today, when I was supposed to finally receive an SMS from their team confirming that the job was completed. As I had not received any SMS by 5pm, I decided to call Internode. After over 30 minutes with their manager Jenny trying to sort it out, she told me to contact their tech support team, which I did. The guy, Nathan, told me that the provisioning team had not completed my connection and asked me to wait 24 hours until he came up with an explanation.

That's when you realize that this nightmare will never finish. Instead, it lingers on and on, and you get anxious, nervous, stressed, because you know that it's going to be a while until you get what you asked for.

And there's more: I haven't been provided with what I need, but, because of some miscommunication throughout the process, someone told me I needed to have a phone line for my naked plan. Guess what? They were very effective in sending me the bill for the FIRST 2 MONTHS - meanwhile, I do not get what I really subscribed for.

I will NEVER recommend this provider to anyone. Apart from a couple of good employees, Internode has just upset me. The worst is to think that changing to another provider at this point not only will cost me, but will also reset all process.

Like many of the reviews here I've had some great experiences with Internode in the past, however I Just recently moved and applied to Internode for my internet connection. I don't know how but they said I had a fiber connection that doesn't exist. I was skeptical but I was assured that if the connection didn't go through I wouldn't have to pay anything so I gave it a chance.

After a week of no communication from Internode other than to say the phone service was connected I called them for an update. Somewhere along the line they realised that fiber wasn't available and the application had simply stop there. So, they said they would get in touch with their sales department and that they would call me back. After hearing nothing I called them again, and after have the exact same conversion as before I was told they'd call me back. No such luck.

I canceled today and was told I'd have to pay a cancelaction fee and two months of line rental regardless of what I was told before despite being given the run around and wasting my time repeatedly.

I will no longer be using or recommending Internode again.

shocking amounts of congestion on their network (acknowledged by them). Literally the best customer support out of a number of ISPs I've tried. Although the speeds can go down to 30 megabits at peak times, the customer support team is outstanding, they even recommended me a new ISP. Sadly, the infrastructure is greatly lacking at the moment.

I would not recommend this company. The constant BS given by the company. Happy to take our money, while over charging and not providing any services. Speeds offered very lack lusting. Took ages to get back to us. What more can I say?

I receive a naked ADSL2+ connection from Internode. it's a slow ~3Mbit connection that's been pretty reliable - rarely going down. I've never had an extended outage in 6 years. Technical assistance has always been pretty decent.

Absolute rubbish service at top price.
Loyal customer for 8 years and when thing started going wrong they did not care and service was non existent after 1 hour + on hold. Had mobile with them as well and when we had no internet for weeks and went over the phone data plan they gave no warning and refused to make any arrangement.

I've been with Internode for approx. 3-4 years now. Moving house in August and they're coming along with us. I think their price and service is great. They also have quota-free Netflix which is incredible!. Throughout my 3-4 years, I've never experienced any disruption at all. The service may seem slow every now and again but it usually turns out to be the devices, now the actual service from Internode. Would recommend to anyone looking for cheap, reliable ISP :)

Internet service provision. Been with Internode for many years and overall quite satisfied. However, recently with moves to expand and over time they have become a bit complacent with their technical support. I haven't had my problem resolved over an extended period of time. They can be quick to recover funds for any issue but a hesitant to got he full mile if your problem doesn't fit the easy template. Still one of the better operators on the market.

I was with Internode up until today. That's about 6 years I've been a loyal customer.
Due to a relocation, they can't provide the same service as in the previous location. With no products of a comparable value at a similar price, you would think they'd give you something special to stay with them after so long! But there was nothing they could do. Hence I had to end this relationship.
They were very civil about it and didn't get angry or annoyed even though I asked a zillion questions about the same thing. Kudos to them for the time I've been with them and hope they stay a good part of South Australia.

We have used Internode for about five years, initially for ADSL Broadband, and most recently for the new NBN Broadband. Their service is very reliable and consistent, and their Support Services people, one the few occasions we have needed to consult them, are very helpful!

We recently connected to the NBN via Internode, and they made the procedure very easy. They were readily able to answer the questions we had that were not already covered by their website, and the router they sold us is good quality and very good value.

Their NBN plans are not the absolute cheapest on the market, but cheaper than the other "big players" and you get an excellent and reliable service for the money.

My niece nad nephew have both recently changed to Intermode after being with a SA company for several years.
Only problem I have ever heard from anybody is a person whose entire location is fibre optic. When Internode went down they lost their landline phone at all. Not a good situation.

I use Internode for our monthly internet service and they are local. Very helpful if something goes wrong with your internet and also call back when they tell you. Their prices are also very competitive. I'd recommend them anyday.

I've been with them for about ten years for basic internet service and recently upgraded to a naked plan. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Their customer service is fantastic - always friendly, patient and helpful. They will stay on the line for as long as it takes and troubleshoot until the problem is resolved.

Internet speeds are good, and no down time.

Honestly, this is one of the best companies I've ever dealt with.

I rang them about getting internet access in my new house. she sorted it all out on the phone and within a week I had internet up and running. It was cheaper than any other company I could find and the coverage is excellent, but she checked on the computer first to make sure they had good cover in my area. Very helpful on the phone and patient too.

Internode are the original Adelaide ISP for service, speed and quality. Highly recommended and it is backed up by excellent, thorough technical support. I have had to deal with Internode professionally as well as they are a mutual supplier to a major customer I interact with (no names on the customer sorry). Their manner while representing themselves is excellent and they always follow through with troubleshooting requests we make. In addition, they are prompt and responsive to conference calls that we hold for major technical issues.

Impressed with them I choose to use them at home and I am equally happy with their service. In the 2 years that I have been with them for ADSL2 not only have I had blistering speed, I have also NEVER had a service fault. Brilliant!

We use Internode for internet, voip and mobile phones (x2). We have had fantastic experiences. Customer service is great. The lines can be long at times but I've always requested a call-back rather than waiting and this can take a couple of hours - but they are always helpful. We had an issue with our naked not being set up correctly last week and they were onto this straight away and fixed it.
The voip is great value - we pay $5 and get $10 worth of calls. National and local calls are 18c each so we have never gone over the $10 amount.
We recently added mobile phones to our account. My husband got the free $20 sim for 6 months and I purchased a $20 sim. They have been great. Great inclusions for $20 and they use the optus network so no problems.
Overall I highly recommend them. Staff and products are fantastic.

When people knock on our door to sell Telsta, etc., we just laugh at them and tell them we're VERY happy with our bundled phone and internet and now, tah dah-mobile, yay!
If they'd announce they're doing gas/electricity now, I'd sign on the spot.
They are the cheapest for our needs, offer rate shaping instead of excess data fees, lots of relevant unmetered content, great customer service and have a HEAP of happy customers for a reason.
We've been with them for years and are thrilled- highly recommended.

If, like me, you have tried Telstra and tried Optus and become frustrated by the foreign call centre staff (trying their best but still v. frustrating) Internode staff seem a welcome relief. My experience however is that they are not supported by decent training in the systems and processes which underpin their service. So I am now still waiting for a modem to be delivered for an internet service which is up and running because not once, but THREE TIMES, the lovely person on the end of the phone said it would be sent asap. I only heard from them again because I was asked to fill in a customer survey and then - guess what - it takes 5 days from the person ringing me on a Thursday to look into things and apologise for the obvious errors of their staff in understanding their own systems to get the modem to me in Sydney from Adelaide. Monetary compensation? The $15 delivery fee and one month's internet fee. Big Deal.

I believe Internode and iinet are joining forces so where does this leave us poor consumers? I chose this company because of promises they made which they didn't keep - not because of the well known problems with getting Telstra lines working for other providers - but for the simple mistake of their staff not understanding how to post a modem from Adelaide to Sydney. I am now stuck with them for a contract term with no recourse and no decent compensation.

So be warned.

Great internet speed and fairly reasonable prices with only the occasional drop out of the internet service. Their customer service was prompt and helpful. We were with internode for a few years before switching to another company as they offered a better deal.

Internode can be described in one simple word, awesome.
I have used quite a number of ISP's in the past, I work in ICT and have plenty of experience in the matter, you just can't surpass the quality of their service in terms of both the services they offer, and their customer service in general.
These days before I choose to move house, I make sure I can get an Internode service!

Changed to Internode about 12 months ago and have never regretted it. It is cheaper than our old service and we haven't experienced any problems. Speeds are great and we don't have to worry if we go over our monthly allowance, as the cost is the same, the speed is just reduced. Like the fact we can pay monthly and can use B Pay.

I was in the tricky situation of losing my Optus phone line and internet under very specific and complicated circumstances (the demolition and replacement of the South Brisbane exchange).

After days of frustrating conversations to Optus Call Centres (who, with all respect to the staff members, were bogged down by bureaucracy and in no position to provide local expertise), I was delighted to find Internode's staff immensely helpful. If the person on the line can't help, they'll call for someone on the other side of the room - not the planet!

Since then, I've had nothing but pleasant experiences with their service department. I understand now why so many people feel such intense brand loyalty. They've just earned another fan.
