I love sitting outside on the comfy chairs on a nice sunny day! The coffee always tastes super fresh and pairs well with simple eggs on toast :)

This place is absolutely gorgeous, especially the little courtyard out the back. Coffee is great, food is great and the service is fantastic. They get busy, very busy, but the staff are efficient and attentive.
We've been coming here for years. They've recently had an update and it's looking so much better. Desserts are still fabulous with local chelates available too. They also use organic ingredients where possible.
Fresh and wholesome food. The garden out the back is a hidden hideaway. If you like strong coffee this is the place, great service too.

Caught up with one if my friends at this place for lunch. It was a very pleasant place. The food here is really tasty and they have a great variety of yummy cakes/desserts. They were very busy when I was there on the weekend.
Have had breakfast here and coffee really nice not to expensive staff are friendly willing to go the extra mile my bacon was cooked spot on
I absolutely adore this café. The food is beautiful, coffees are great. The only slight downside is that sometimes when they are busy, you need to go and get a waiter to take your order. But I have had far more positive experiences here than negative. I'm here almost every week ! :)
Approximate cost: $15
Thanks for this, I'll have to check it out next time I'm in Croydon :)
Staff who are polite and lovely. Great place for friends to catch up. Wide menu choices and the refreshment choices are great to. There are more tables out the back if you want a quiet place to sit.
I come here once a week for coffee and the occasional snack and both are always high quality and come out very quickly. The actual restaurant is a cosy little Moroccan oasis in the middle of Croydon and the staff are always very friendly and helpful.
Wonderful atmosphere and Friday night dinners at Kofi are a fantastic way to experience the local music talent with a beautiful meal and glass of wine.

Overall, this cafe is a good place for breakfast or lunch or coffees in Croydon Main Street. The food is yummy with a large range of organic and gourmet meals on the menu.
However, this cafe is not very spacious and the service staff can sometimes appear somewhat disinterested.
Approximate cost: $14
The place in Croydon for organic tea & coffee, chocolates, and Moroccan homewares.
Service can be a bit slow when its busy yet great ambience, delicious food, also outdoor (front and back) seating.
I went here for a Sunday brunch recently. The service was adequate, but didn't really blow me away. Some of the staff appear to put more effort into being 'alternative' than simply being friendly.
The prices were a bit higher than you'd expect when bearing in mind the type of food you're getting. The food was nice, but when you consider the overall experience, I'm not convinced it's high on my list for places to return to.
Approximate cost: $18
this is by far my favourite coffee shop in the area. great customer service and the coffee is brilliant! keeps me buzzing for hours. meals are pricey so haven't had many from there aside from the flourless chocolate cake which is pretty good! during busy times coffees can take a bit to be delivered but it is always worth the wait. nice funky cafe too, lots of house items you can buy. take a look for yourself.
I really enjoy coming here for the simple fact that I can order organic food and not fear the added nasties at most cafe's/restaurants. I've tried a large variety of meals and havent been disappointed. The service is however, hit and miss. There are some really great staff and others that are unnecessarily rude. Prices are standard if not a little high. Live music on Friday nights is also a refreshing treat.
Approximate cost: $15-30
Amazing little cafe in which the coffee tastes amazing. All the food and pastries are absolutely delicious and I don't mind spending half a day inside with a book to read and a warm coffee to heighten my spirits.
I have been a regular customer of this cafe for many years because there coffee and european thick hot chocolates are amazing. The hot chocolates are thick and you can pick from many varieties some that have coconut hazelnut, white chocolate, chili, etc. The place is morrocan style and is open late Fridays with usually a man singing or some sort of entertainment. It is pretty cramped though but nice. Although, I find the back outdoor area to be pretty dirty and often smells funny as the seats are located right next to the outside toilet and the furniture doesnt look like it gets cleaned much outside. So if you go I recommend sitting inside. You can buy gifts such as candles and morrocan style homewares, chocolates, fudge, lamps, vases, etc. I think overall it is a great place to go if you want a coffee or a hot chocolate but have sometimes found the cake to not taste the freshest and they are around 8 dollars a slice and when I got a lemon tart it tasted off and I didn't eat it. But highly recommend the european hot chocolate and the coffee would be the best in the Croydon /Mooroolbark area.
I always enjoy going to Kofi Bean. The service is good, the waiters are friendly and the food is tasty. Recently I went with a couple of friends and we all had a mini pizza each. These are just right for lunch - lots of topping and there is a vegetarian option too. Coffee and tea as well - and the coffee always comes with a jug of hot water to tone it down if it is too strong - and also makes it stretch just a little bit further! A great place go for a snack, meal or just coffee and a chat.
Approximate cost: $12.00
thanks
This was really amazing. The staff was really lovely and decor and atmosphere gave it a really good feel. gives you a completely different feel when you walk into this cafe! it was just lovely and would recommend it to anyone looking to go somewhere for breakfast!

I love going to Kofi Bean. I love the atmosphere and decor, and sitting out in the back courtyard on a nice day.
The service can be hit and miss, but the food is wonderful. Can be pricey but this is a "for a treat" cafe for me, so I don't mind.
A very nice cafe, great decor and atmosphere. They have live music on weekend evenings and the food is very nice, if a little expensive.
Serve great coffee, service is a bit all over the shop, home made treats are very yummy, albeit a little too expensive. Would go more often if it was not so pricey. Breakfasts are fabulous.
this cosy little cafe made my day that very afternoon...loved the coffee and the service...:-))
Staff seem to serve based on personal choice. On multiple occasions, I have sat down waiting to order and have had to wait up to 25 minutes, whilst waitresses have walked past without looking at me or idly having a personal chat to another customer. When I was finally served, the waitress seemed very unhappy to be serving me.
Coffee and food is rather expensive. Ordered a "trio of dips" which contained 3 small dips and some crackers. It cost about $15 but was only worth about $5-7.
Apart from a few of the obnoxious female waitresses, the coffee is very good.
Paying the high price to be 'funky'?
I had my first coffee here last week after eyeing the place off for some time as looking like the place to be.
I didn't realise it was table service, so went in and up to the register to order, the youngish lady looked puzzled and raised her eyebrows and said 'erm, it's table service here so just sit down and someone will come take your order'. I said 'um.. ok' and went and sat outside.
Some time went by...I watched the traffic... and a 30 something male waiter, tall slim guy, came by and asked if I had ordered yet. I said no. I ordered a standard latte, with sugars.
It came out, in it's little glass... not particularly hot, but... it was ok, it tasted nice. So, drank up and went in to be quite surprised that the little drink was just under $4. Reasonable in the inner city but a bit rich for Main St Croydon. They were quick to take my cash and say 'next can I help you' and I was basically forced out with a waiter right on my heels.
Not the best experience, and I really think most go there for the look - which does appeal to me, but I want service and value for my money. If the cakes were not $8+ a slice, I might have tried one.
Might have to just slum it at the Bakehouse next door from now on when in Croydon, at least they are polite and happy to have you as a customer.
Recently went here for breakfast with a friend and was very impressed. Great menu, hard to chose only one dish to order. The meals was really good - great quality, fresh food, beautifully presented.
The service was outstanding. I commented as I left that they had reminded me of what realy customer service was - attentive but not intrusive, polite but also very friendly.
I will definately be back!

If your looking for the best coffee in the eastern suburbs, then come to Kofi Bean. I have breakfast here at least once a month, and the food never disappoints. Although service can be a little slow on the weekends, the wait staff are pretty good at what they do.
Approximate cost: $16
this very attractive and comfortable cafe and shop serves great organic coffee, really nice breakfast and has delicious cakes and home made chocolates.
The food here is really tasty and they have a great variety of yummy cakes/desserts. Downside is that it's a bit crowded inside at peak times and service can sometimes be a bit slow (usually when they are really busy though). I think the prices are a little over the top for some items on the menu but overall a nice cafe. Dinner Friday nights is nice, live music and great ambience.
Excellent coffee...and good for the soul as well being Fair Trade. Food selection a little limited but tasty. Breakfast a must, haven't tried their Friday night dinner yet.
Approximate cost: $20
I love this place! The ambiance is wonderful and i always buy a gift for my mum! This is definatley the best place in the area to have lunch. The coffee is good and the breakfast is recommended. I will say, forget all the other "pretend" cafes on main street, kofi beans is the real deal.
Now that they're open on Friday nights for dinner, we love popping in for a special middle eastern treat. They have a great range of healthy meals and organic choices. Jasper coffee is their supplier and they have an eclectic range of middle-eastern giftware.
