I found Metro Movers through WoMow and I was really pleased with their service during our recent move. We had them pack, move and partly unpack and the whole thing cost around $2200 which was almost $1500 cheaper than we had been quoted by one of the large companies. The packing was definitely worth it - those guys packed all of our stuff (and we had a lot) in about 5 hours. The movers were very helpful and careful: there was only one minor breakage during the whole move.

The unpacking was okay, although the person did some odd things like unpack all of the liquor into an easily reached shelf on the floor. I probably wouldn't get the unpacking service again as I ended up re-doing a lot of it, but that was a small thing overall.

On the whole they provided an excellent service at a competitive price.

We were moving from a two bedroom townhouse in Port Melbourne to a three bedroom house in Point Cook. It was pouring rain and the guys had to take the furniture out of the townhouse in the rain. They were excellent and worked really hard. Nothing was damaged or scratched and everything was placed in the new house exactly as I wanted it. The team that moved us were friendly, polite and hardworking. Nothing was too much trouble. The reception staff at MetroMovers have also been very helpful and polite. I would recommend this business to anyone.

We recently had our residential move from a 4-bedroom house to a 3-bedroom townhouse temporarily. MetroMovers executed the job superbly. They were flexible in meeting our changing requirements; we had to change the date of move and final destination several times over the last 2 weeks before the move, as the answers to our “where” and “when” questions changed almost daily depending on the development of the settlement of the house that we bought. (The original vendor of the house has gone bankrupt before the settlement date.) The admin staff was very helpful whenever we called up to make the changes. The crews, both the packers and movers, were friendly and professional. They took great care in handling the furniture and fragile items. We were amazed how they managed to stack our personal effects that come in various shapes and sizes neatly in the garage. We'll definitely use them again in our future move.

We moved a two story office with desks, computers, book cases. From the sales person to the box courier to the 5 removal men who moved everything on the day of our move, MetroMovers were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and everything worked like a charm

I had my residential move from Southbank 14th floor, to another building in Southbank 19th floor handled with professionalism, speed and precision. The job occurred faster than expected, and the boys maintained their smiles even with some difficult pieces of furniture (double-sized fridge in particular). Boxes were delivered a few weeks before the move and picked up a few weeks after with a refund! Can't recommend highly enough!

Very friendly professional crew. Kind to my elderly parents on pick up. The picked up the piano at a time suitable to all of us. They gave me a call to let me know they were on the way to deliver the piano. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Metro Movers moved both my home and offices on two separate occasions. They supplied boxes and packaging and came on both days with very big trucks to make sure everything was done in one trip.

We had metromovers pack up all our kitchen drawers and ornaments and they moved us from a 2nd floor apartment in Toorak to a home in Mount Eliza. I have moved three times in the last 5 years and I have only now, since moving with metromovers, discovered that moving can be a very pleasant experience. The packing lady was extremely careful with our things but so very quick, as were the very polite removalists on moving day. The office was very helpful in booking in my move. After we had unpacked all our boxes, metromovers collected the boxes and gave me a refund for the boxes. I would definitely recommend this company!!
