Just had the worst customer service experience of my life trying to get support from St George after their fraud department incorrectly suspended my account. They wouldn't do anything about it even though they had me on the phone and insisted I visit a branch. Since it's the weekend this means I have absolutely no money for the weekend. Not only were they completely unhelpful but they were also rude. I am now busy opening an account with another bank so that I can close my St George account on Monday.

Worse than then the fraudulent organisations around them.
Your accounts are not safe and nor do you have the "fraud guarantee" that this bank promotes.
As a single parent I relied on this banks promise of protection. $35 thousand later (which I didn't even have to begin with) following a bank hack, this bank basically told me to go away and shut down all of my accounts, leaving my child and I renderlesss for 6 weeks now and ongoing.
Their lack of fraud security is apparently my problem.
Their fraud department, Janine, is an insultive disgrace.
Enough documentation to support my claim in a court room.

My first experience with st george. I refinanced my home loan.Went into the bank with my paperwork the lady went through it.They said a couple bits of papers where missing. Why didn't the lady tell me at the time and we could have got it sorted. Now I have to go back in there and redo it all again

I would not recommend getting a credit card through this bank. 3 months on, 7 phone calls, several emails, and 2 visits into the bank, and I still haven't received an additional card for my wife. It took 3 attempts for my card to arrive, which was painful enough, and now I have attempted 4 times for my wife's card to arrive. It was promised to be express mailed, never arrived. It takes weeks for the bank to respond to complaints, or they don't respond at all. I have never experience such incompetence from a bank like this before.

Do not get a home loan or credit card with St George. Words cannot describe how BAD St George are. Shockingly bad, deplorable, incompetent, and no service whatsoever. I am moving my 3 loans to any other bank besides St George.

St George Bank and Bank SA would have to be the best value for money and great customer service banks. I receive phone calls atleast twice yearly to speak to a BankSA customer service personnel in order to see if i have any issues i would like to speak out. Just recently i had a meeting with a lovely Bank SA lady who helped me in order to organize my finances, she set me up with a savings account at 4% interest! Ordered me a VISA Debit Card, YAY! One of the ONLY Banks to have a VISA Debit card which is available upon a simple request. GREAT customer service and excellent at customer communication.

MAJORITY OF STAFF HAVE BEEN HELPFUL & CARING OVER THE YEARS. SOME TIMES WHEN THEY ARE CONTACTING YOU IT IS LATE SUNDAY WHEN I CANT CONTACT THEM SEEMS BIT UNFAIR. SOME MORE ENGLISH PEOPLE WOULD BE GOOD TO.

My parents and I went to the Cairns Branch to transfer some money to an account with a different company, but were unable to do so. They helped us out and explained what we needed to do in order to do this in an effective manner. We also ended up sorting out an interest saver account, and the lady that helped us was exceptional. Best bank service I have ever received.

I am pleased with the service I receive from StGeorge staff when I call up with ay phone enquiries. It is not long until I am speaking with a person on the end of the phone - its fantastic that i am not on hold for long! Highly recommend if your looking for that little bit of extra customer service!
