The worst customer service experience of my life, even worse than Optus! And that’s saying a lot.
I’ve had fraud occur on my account for the amount of $5500, I’ve been on the phone for 4 hours. I keep getting transferred to a different department.
Will definitely be moving to another bank.

This was my first bank account as a teenager! I’ve had this account for 20 years!
Sad end to a strong relationship with St George bank.

St George used to be a good bank - now they block my account regularly and I am trying to run a business. My business has been running through their bank for over 12 years - i have money in the bank yet they keep blocking me - I have put in written and verbal complaints. Tonight they have blocked it again as i am trying to pay one of my contractors - there is a notification to call them - i wait on the line for 30 minutes then get put through to someone who tells me to call another time they are too busy - what are they actually doing - wanting customers to leave and go elsewhere? DISGUSTED

I had a discussion with Milva, one of the St George staff members. She is so professional and very knowledgeable. Given me information about home loan and other packages, which was great. Thank you Milva, nice talking with you this morning.

My wife and I are trying to report a fraud. She has been given the run around then got hung up on, no doubt while being transferred to another department. I just called and reached digital fraud team who advised another team looks after the issue, the transferred me to Westpac! Now I'm back in the queue with long wait times and fake wait times being told in the automated response. This bank once had a good reputation for customer service but I find it horrible. Really inefficient, time wasting phone support with no accountability by it's outsourced customer support desks.

The fraud hotline customer service is the worst service ever.
My account has been blocked but I have not been notified. It happened 13 days back. I made couple of calls to fraud team by waiting around hour and half on the phone and they simply said " could be take another week to solve this issue" but the another staff said 3 business days and another one said 48 hours in earlier days phone calls ( 5 days back). when I called to st george fraud customer service yesterday evening around 3pm, I was waiting in a queue nearly 1 hour and 40 min then the call disconnected. I called them again, after waiting nearly an hour a gentleman answered and he put me 2 min hold and call disconnected again.

When I was talking to the lady this morning she also said the same. I asked her connect to your the supervisor, then only she act and called the other bank while I am on the phone and try to help me. She is not ready to help me until I asked her to connect the call to your Supervisor.

The reason why they blocked my account is, I have transferred $900 to my another bank ( 2 times).

Too bad there is no any minus sign to show my dissatisfaction with them.
The worse experience ever dealing with St George bank. When processing my loan application took 3 weeks to organise valuation, almost 2 weeks to make decision. My loan was on the end rejected as the property was not in their development register indicating that the property require >80% LVR (which is the mistake on their side)
I was left stranded and only advise about it only on the end, just before the finance date.

When i called St George to complain (as it was their mistake), bank advised that i can't raise the complain as the application was done through the broker, and that he needs to raise complain even though it is application for my home loan

What a customer service!!! The worse experience ever. After 17 years having banking with them, they really demonstrated what customer service and loyalty shouldn not look like

Please avoid it!!! you will regret going with them!! Skip it in the big loop

First Home Buyer Review: 1/5 Stars.

So, bought my first home and used St. George. What I'd consider vanilla, a relatively standard purchase with 5% deposit and the bank of mum and dad to go guarantor to avoid LMI. Putting $50.00 on the roughie to win on the nose at Melbourne cup was probably a smarter decision.

Loan already pre-approved, 7 day delay for document issue to me (which I had to go pickup), lost the returned documents (including the guarantors title) that I'd hand delivered so new ones needed to be re-issued (and therefore resigned!) another delay to let me know all 5 days out from settlement, 30 minutes prior to settlement bank issues information saying they are not ready to settle, more chasing up forms and documents and finally settling 68 minutes prior to COB Friday - starting down the barrel to potentially be charged roughly $160.00 per day in interest until its all sorted. If you had a pace maker that thing would be out of batteries by the time this finished up.

Recommendation: Work out what the calculated difference is between a margin of a percent to use another vendor. For me it would of been $1100 cost to stay with my current bank at a slightly higher rate. Divide that hourly by a lack of sleep, cost of alcohol, additional coffees because of too much alcohol/lack of sleep and just general mental health. Do yourself a favor and use another bank.

Or if you're like that guy from "Da Vinci Code" that whips himself and are a glutton for punishment, sign up to St George - they've got your 'back'

Don't trust this bank at all promise everything,,give you nothing,,refinanced with them for there special rate and cash back ,,then no communication for three weeks until paperwork turned up with wrong rate and yea you don't qualify for cash back ,just another con from a big bank little brother,,won't be there long ,
