This is a roomy yet cosy cafe/bakery with the best quiche Lorraine I have had in years. No heavy pastry, and what seemed to be a base made of rice, so probably gluten free. Good range of baked lunch-style food and helpful staff. Clean, pleasant bathrooms as well.
We had dinner at the Albion Bistro when staying in Castlemaine recently. It was recommended by one of the locals - always a good indicator. A truly delicious meal in a lovely environment with fabulous, friendly service. Great menu (Italian meatballs, Greek lamb cutlets, salmon, vegetarian options...) and they even offered us wifi.
We weren't staying at the motel because we didn't know about it so I can't comment on the accommodation side of things, but we will absolutely look at staying there next time.
What a find! This travel agency is open on Saturdays and Sundays and they are happy to make an appointment. So great if you are working and don't want to take pot luck. They have kept us fully informed along the way and are very knowledgeable. Great tips on saving money too.
I have had a number of lunches and dinners here with friends. The food is always delicious and it's easy to order just the right amount. Great if you want a quick but special lunch on a workday. Can't beat the San Choi Bau!
Khazana has been at Knox for ages but moved into the Ozone area a couple of years ago. The food has always been brilliant (hot if you like it that way, or milder if you choose) but it now has more ambience. Cosy atmosphere, great location for before or after the movies.
I would not be without my Entertainment Book, having bought one for at least the last 10 years. I enjoy the fact that charities are being supported, it encourages you to try new places to eat, and you save a fortune on eating out every year with either 25% off or buy one get one free offers.
You can use up to 3 dockets or cards per meal if there are 6 people in the group, so sometimes nearly $100 saved in one meal. Highly recommended.
This has always been a great place to eat, top quality food and good service. They now have a separate vegetarian menu which was quite extensive. The San choi bou is fabulous. They are also in the Entertainment Book if you want to save some money.
We meet friends here regularly for dinner mid-week. The menu is huge .. really good range, and the quality is excellent. The restaurant area is far enough away and around a corner from the pokies so they don't intrude (you wouldn't really know they were there). Affordable meals are made more affordable using the 'Buy 1 get 1 free' dockets from the back of Coles dockets, and they are also in the Entertainment book.
I found some cute paper cutting dies on a Japanese website and this was the only place locally that I was able to source them. The owner was friendly and helpful and even though he is not set up as a shop front, he was happy for me to come by and collect them. Very well priced. By appointment only. He also attends some of the scrapbooking shows.
I came across this business at a recent scrapbooking and papercraft show. They have a great range of shapes and colours and even though I don't think they are primarily a retail outlet they are happy to have people call and come in. Helpful and knowledgable.
