great fish n chip shop , very friendly people , very fast and they know what they are doing , old style freshly cut chips , not frozen , great potato cakes , very nice fish , one of the best fish shops in town

use to go there all the time but in the past 18mths it has gone down hill big time , horrible food , half the time havnt got what is listed on the menu , last time i went there i had 2 bites of my meal and asked for my money back , as the fish i got tasted like it was off , service has a lot of room for improvement , very rude , and slow wont be back there again

went in yesterday and ordered flake pack and a hamburger , she forgot to put the chips in so my flake and hamburger sat there waiting , when she gave me the order she said i put some extra chips in because the hamburger rolls wernt fresh , but the day before was a public holliday so they were 3 days old , when i got home you could smash the roll with a hammer and not put a dent in it , and the flake was disgusting and extremly oily , not eatable wont go back ever again

went in last week for a meal ordered the whiting , i took more than 10mins standing in a line to place my order , after ordering i got a beer sat down for 30mins got another beer , and then my number was called so they could tell me they dont have any whiting and all they had instead was flake , and at the same price as the whiting , anyway after all that the meal came 20 mins latter and was disgusting wont go there ever again

went too jonahs the other day , havnt been for years , same guy running the shop , who is very friendly and seems to really know his stuff when it comes to fish , but i was very dissapointed when i opened it up , very very oily , fish would of been realy good but was far to oily

good meals ,very good service , we eat there once a month , and we always enjoy it , one of the best pub style meals in town and they have whiting on the menu most in ballarat dont

very nice fish but very small and top dollar , chips arent the best , shop is very clean , i would eat from there again as its near impossible to get good fish in ballarat
