This was a nice hotel, but certainly not 5 star. I thought the rooms were a little tired looking. Location was great though. I stayed on a special stay pay deal which made it good value. I wouldn't pay full price.
This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. It is fantastic. It was originally the IXL jam factory, and parts of the past remain throughout the hotel. It is warm inviting. Great location.
The best part about the Palace is the location- very central & across from Central Rail Station. It is what you expect from a hostel- nothing fancy here, I stayed in a single room years ago when on a tight budget & it did the trick.
Hoe Inn Food Bar is fantastic value for money. The food is good, and the staff are friendly & helpful. No complaints from me! I would recommend it for a good value breakfast or lunch
ING Direct is fantastic. No fees. All they do is pay you interest. Great for starting a savings plan. Just get funds direct debited across. Really easy.
They were out of a few of the steaks when we dined there which was disappointing. Hogs Breath is always good for a steak though. A little on the pricey side.
As a travel agent, I always jump on tripadvisor to get an accurate idea of what a hotel is going to be like. It gives a good indication from the feedback received from others.
I almost always book my last minute accommodation with wotif. They are great value, & the website is easy to use. No complaints from me. A big thumbs up
I find Jetstar a very average airline. I would not fly them internationally, but if they are the cheapest domestically I will usually go with them. They are OK.
Qantas staff are usually reasonably friendly- but not as friendly as Virgin Blue staff. I like that the snacks & checked in luggage are included in the cost.
