Wendy and her team catered a house party for me recently, and everything went very smoothly, which was great as I ended up on crutches for the event! We also hired glassware, plates and a tablecloth through her and she brought it all at the start of the party and collected it the next day.
The guests were all very impressed by the food, and the strawberry cheesecake went down very well!
The curry is very good, but it is very difficult to get a table, so you have to book in advance, which I find annoying. The first time I went I asked for my curry "hot", and I think the chef decided to show me exactly how hot he could make it, so I haven't made that mistake again.
They do fantastic curry. The restaurant itself is a bit crowded and noisy, so I prefer to get takeaway. Also, I find the minimalist decor a bit strange for a curry house.
Great curry in an authentic Indian style setting. The service is very good, and you can usually get a table without booking.
This shop sells beautiful things - gifts, trinkets, jewellery, but the service is appalling. I had a very bad experience with trying to order something. It turned out that the lady didn't order it for me because she "didn't think I was serious", so didn't take a deposit from me. She was then incredibly rude to me when I chased the item three weeks later. I then paid the deposit she asked for on my credit card, and to top it all off she took a further unauthorized amount from my credit card, using the number from my deposit docket. I just hope my experience is unusual. I understand that genuine mistakes can happen, but this wasn't the way I saw my experience and I certainly wasn't offered a satisfactory apology for what happened.
Great, friendly staff. They take their time with you to discuss colour etc, and tailor the colour to your requirements.
They have good pastries and bread. There is plenty of seating inside, and they have nice toilets. The service can be very very slow, even when they don't seem to be busy.
Windsurfing widows - this is the place to find your man on a windless day! They even make him coffee to make him stay longer. They have a good selection of woolly hats too.
The service is great and very friendly. They also have a very good range of birthday and greeting cards. They gift wrap books for free too.
The brunch is great, and they have a lovely wood fire in the winter. Another plus is that they have plenty of space, so you can usually get a table (obviously except on special occasions, such as Mother's day).
