Wow wow wow. This place is the best - and most of the things are only $12 for massive portions! We arrived at 6 pm on a Saturday night and only just managed to jag a table. By 6:30, there were 20 people waiting. No wonder they had to move to a larger building.

BYO is $2 per person. Service is efficient. Atmosphere is bustling (not romantic!). Food is top notch. I would highly recommend the soft shell crab - $21 for a giant plateful, was plenty for the four of us to share. Stir fried veggies were crisp and fresh with just enough garlic. Laksa was tasty. I'll definitely be back!

I wish some of the menu items were a little cheaper (addition of $5 for a bit of fruit on my waffle?!?!?), and I wish it wasn't cash only, but I just love this place anyway! The peanut butter mousse waffle is by far the best thing on the menu, and every time I order something else I'm sad I didn't get the peanut butter mousse! Syrup and cream is served separately so the waffle stays crisp and you can add the amount that you'd like. A great place for dessert after dinner, in a cute alleyway. Service is nothing to rave about, but the taste makes up for that!

Delicious burgers. Better than Grilld. And you can BYO wine too! The vegetarian pumpkin pattie burger is to die for. You can tell the owners have really thought about what should go in each burger, and each burger contains just the right additions and condiments.

This new coffee shop is a welcome addition to Carillon City Food Court. It's located right next to the toilet, which sounds unromantic but you wouldn't even know (and very convenient if you need to go!) The coffee is smooth and the service is friendly and efficient. I'll be back!

Funky industrial interior with a great location by the water. The service was quick, friendly and efficient and they serve excellent coffee that needed no sugar. I didn't eat the food but I will be back for breakfast, because the meals I saw served to others around me looked incredible with large serving sizes.

This funky small cafe serve meals including brunch & dinner, but we went just for dessert. I was full from dinner, but still managed to fit in a Pancake Suzette with flaming Cointreau - delicious & served flaming at the table! The pancakes are around 15 dollars, but they're huge servings and we'll worth it (we probably should have shared 3 serves between 4 people, at the most). Good coffee too, and the service was incredibly friendly & welcoming. This place deserves its high ratings.

I visited this restaurant last night after having been 3 years ago. The renovation done recently is fantastic & the atmosphere is really funky. Murals splash the walls and the red lanterns & background music let off a romantic, energising vibe. The service is attentive and friendly. We had the almond chicken (nutty, creamy & mild - could have done with some chili) and Nyonya chicken (surprisingly bland, we had to add salt). Each of these dishes is around 25 dollars. The Roti bread was delicious, but it's the stuff from the freezer section of the Indian shop - it looks and tastes exactly the same and while it's good bread, it should not cost 3 dollars per piece. Saffron rice was spot on (but serves are not very big). The Pinot Noir I had was a great drop. Overall, we had a fantastic night and I can see why this restaurant is always booked out, however when weighing up the price and quality of food I won't be returning in a hurry.

What a gem tucked up the north end of Oxford Street! The vibe in here is eclectic and cosy. I had a Swan Valley grenache, which was fantastic - the owners have selected the wine carefully. We didn't have any food but for nibbling it looked good - one type of cheese is 10 dollars, which seems reasonable, and chicken wings are only 0.99 each. Will be back to try the food.

Fish, chips and wine - it's a dream come true! I got the fish & chip pack for one, which was about $10 and just the right size. Great chilled atmosphere and excellent, friendly service.

I've been here twice - once with my husband & another time with a group of friends, and I love this tapas restaurant! Definitely the best value tapas in Perth, with wonderful flavours & friendly, efficient service. The ordering system is unique - you mark off what you want on a piece of paper & bring it to the till to pay (perfect for separate billing!). Then the plates are brought out one at a time. Dishes range from Pinchos (toothpicks with yummy things on them, ranging from $1-3 each) to larger dishes, my favourite being the pork belly and patatas bravas. Drinks menu is acceptable - I really didn't like the house red though - cider seems to be the way to go instead.

Approximate cost: $20-$25 per person for food
