Been here a few times with friends. Good atmosphere and love the beer garden. They have a band on Saturday nights and other things on during the week.
After a long wait between flights, I wanted something substantial to eat before boarding my international flight. I found this cute little Italian cafe that made limited meals like spaghetti, lasagne, some pastas etc. I wanted to order a carbonara but asked if I could change it from spaghetti to penne and they said no. I then went for the lasagne and paid $24. After waiting 5mins or so, what I received was a small bowl of just lasagne sheets and cheese it seemed. It was so unfilling and definitely not worth the amount I paid! I won't go back here.
Approximate cost: $24
Had a long wait inbetween flights, and found this store! I love Victoria's Secret. Its only a beauty and accessories store (no lingerie) but they have all the classic body lotions, perfumes and also cosmetics. Staff are really friendly and willing to help.
Been here a few times for dinner. It's always busy here as it's in a good location overlooking the river and next to the Art Centre. Prices are reasonable I guess for the location, and I found the meals tasty enough. I've had the pasta and risotto from here and they are good portions. Some of the staff are friendly and others not. Guess it depends on the night!
Always come to Saranti's when meeting friends for lunch. Great choice of salads, sandwiches and hot meals. The staff are so friendly especially Helen, she always knows my usual! They're great to chat with too.
Another good thing is seating.. plenty of tables! It does get very busy here but you always get a table. They have free wifi also.
Highly recommend!!
I'm so glad there's a large bookstore that still remains! Love this store, they have everything! It's great to walk in and be able to buy a book on the spot rather than have to order online and wait. Prices aren't too bad also. They also have a nice gift section.
A nice chocolate shop in the centre of town! So many chocolates to choose from and they make a great gift. It's not cheap, but you pay for the quality. Love their chocolate macadamia nuts!
A very affordable Italian restaurant in Crown! Great for catching up with friends and family or even before a movie. Great quality meals and friendly staff. Love the calamari and also their carbonara :)
The only downside now is, they've changed their menu so you can't choose the pasta you like.
Was quite happy with this restaurant, after hearing good things about their risotto. It's in a lovely spot overlooking the river, great for a nice romantic dinner or pre show. I had the caprese risotto which was delicious. They have a great choice of risottos, pasta and meat dishes and also have a gelato bar.
I've come here a few times, mostly for the macarons! They have a great range of macarons and of course chocolate. They also specialise in drinks- hot chocolate and iced chocolate as well as standard coffees. Haven't tried it yet, but they look delicious! Pretty pricey as you'd expect.
