By far my favourite tapas restaurant in Melbourne. I cannot fault any of the dishes we tried. The pork belly and the churros are to die for. Service was very attentive and friendly without being overly pushy. The only disappointment was that the paellas can be only ordered for two.

This review is for Miss Katie's Crab Shack, North Melbourne VIC

I have been to Miss Katie's a couple of times and both times loved it. The menu is quite small and features boiled crabs, crab hamburger and fried chicken with waffles (make sure you get the waffles!). My favourite dish - school prawns which are oh so smokey and yum! The place is opened until 9 and can get busy on the weekend so make sure you come in early.

Great service but the quality of the fish is disappointing. I ordered a flake which was tasteless - no salt or anything. I had to pay additionally to have my fish grilled rather than friend. It may be the best fish & chips place in town but its way behind others.

This review is for Mamasita, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 04 Mar 2013

OK similar to the previous review we waited for reaaaally long. Mamasita does not allow bookings unless you have a group of 8. Waiting times can vary from half an hour to over an hour. Staff is extremely rude and would not even ask whether you are happy to be seated at the bar or not. Food tastes good. Their corn is AMAZING. We also tried the pickled cactus salad which was interesting but bland. This place has a great selection of tequilas. I found that food was overpriced for what it was. Would no go back.

I love the vibe of this place. Extremely cosy with only a few tables inside and a couple outside. The french girls that work there are fantastic - always so friendly and helpful. Excellent selection of crepes - both savoury and sweet. Definitely a must for a romantic afternoon.

The best thing about this cafe is the ambient. Food is average, staff - quite poor. I went for breakfast on a weekday and ordered a frappe. The frappe comes from a machine and it EXTREMELY sweet. There is no way to alter it. I also ordered a smashed avocado which took ages to be prepared. Based on my experience I wouldnt go back.

This review is for Re-Creation Gym, Carnegie VIC

verified email - 04 Mar 2013

Overall good gym. Great if you are doing classes - especially early in the morning. It gets very busy after work so I wouldnt recommend it if you tend to go to the gym in late afternoons. Also they are little limited in terms of equipment - often you have to wait for a work out which can be annoying. Staff is always friendly and willing to help. Change rooms are clean with plenty of lockers.

This review is for Carnegie Charcoal Chicken, Carnegie VIC

Chicken is dry but the veggies are great. Same goes with the chips - really good quality and decent price. DO NOT ask for gravy - extremely bland and not even warm. The asian guy who is always there (maybe the owner?!) is extremely friendly with all customers. Overall a good place to go to when you have nothing to eat at home.

Best turkish pizzas ever! Everything is made on site and is always fresh and warm. Meet pizzas are under $3. The shop also sells baklava and lokum as well as an assortment of cured meats and continental cheese.

My favourite restaurant. I have taken many friends and colleagues and the guys never fail to impress. Their bread is baked in woodfire oven, dips are freshly made on the premises. Meat falls off the bone...The most AMAZING baklava you could ever have. The only downfall is the short wine menu. Apart from that, this place is superb
