I organized a ceiling insulation with Neco to be installed while I was at work. After returning home from work I noticed the man hole cover was damaged. I entered the roof to inspect the new insulation and found three down lights in direct contact with the insulation (one of the bats was black (burnt) where it was in contact with the down light, leaving my family in a dangerous situation. No transformer covers were supplied (as organized), there were pockets of no insulation and the heating ducts in the ceiling were damaged. After calling Neco and leaving phone message after message, and an email I received no response. Only after contacting consumer affairs have I had some of the issues resolved. I went into Neco today. I met with the organizer of the ceiling insulation. She was arrogant, rude, sarcastic and took no accountability. "You are still going on about it", was a typical response. I have visited Neco on a number of occasions and found the staff in the retail store fantastic. This was an isolated incident, albeit a very dangerous and sour experience. I will use Neco for their retail products but can not recommend them for their insulation work.

This review is for Zimt Patisserie, Mont Albert VIC

After a friend suggested a try Zimt for cakes and sweets (I love cakes and slices). I ventured down and was impressed by the layout and presentation of Zimt. It was a little pricey but we do not mind paying for quality. My partner and I ordered our cakes and hot drinks. It was a busy morning, so I was not too surprised that our order took a long time to arrive. When my cake arrived I found it stale. My cake was so dry that it crumbled. I could not eat it. I spoke to the waitress who replied,'everything is fresh'. No other comment. It was left as that. We left, disappointed. We could not get out of there fast enough. Do not judge a book by its cover. After I calmed down I called Zimt and asked to speak with the manger. They took my details and said they would return my call. Two months later and still waiting for a call. Many other better patisseries around.
(Added 09/06/09) After viewing my rating on WOMOW, Michael has returned my call. Customer service and satisfaction clearly a priority to him. I will consider visiting Zimt when in the area.

I organized a mobile on a cap plan with Virgin mobile in the Swanston street store. The phone took 4 weeks to be connected and once connected the service regularly cuts out. Three months on, approximately 90 calls later and after the constant reassurance that the phone will function after I switch it off and then back on, there has been no improvement. The credits that were organized both in store and by the 'customer service' team have not been applied. I have left the matter with the ombudsman. I want nothing to do with virgin mobile. This is the worst service I have experienced during my time as a human being on this planet.

Approximate cost: $So far approx $45 and far too many hours!

This review is for RSPCA Victoria, Burwood East VIC

I went to the RSPCA to adopt a dog. I stated clearly that I was after a dog that was good with kids and other dogs. One with a friendly temperament. I was attracted to one dog in particular 'pumpkin', but was told that this dog was a kelpie, not for a suburban back yard. 'Farm dog only' read the sign. I was encouraged to take another dog, "this one would be perfect" I was told. I found this dog hard to handle. He displayed dominant characteristics. My partner went in the following day and asked about the dog that was recommended. She was told by an RSPCA staff member that he, himself, would never take this dog. He was not a good choice given our criteria. My partner was also attracted to pumpkin. We went in together on another occasion. We tested the dog that was recommended to me with other dogs. It was aggressive towards all of them. We tested pumpkin, skinny, uncertain and placid for a kelpie (she was not pure breed). We took pumpkin. I was told to exercise her between 4km to 10 km per day. I started to exercise her in the manner suggested, but pumpkin could not cope. It resulted in joint problems because of excessive exercise at a young age. We soon discovered that she was deaf. 12 months on ...she has been the perfect dog for us. Placid, gentle and slowly gaining confidence. I am so glad that we did not follow the guide of the RSPCA staff.
