I'd only been to Misty's once before, and it was decent. My first menu choice was good, but not as great as what I ate last night! The burgers are REALLY GOOD at Misty's. For the most part, I've really been disappointed with the burgers in Australia. There is only one other place in Melbourne to get a good burger, but you can't really compare Misty's with Grill'd. They are different burgers. Grill'd is more the "gourmet" type burger, whereas Misty's is the real deal, backyard-style American burger. And THAT is what's great about it.

I know there has been a bit of controversy here, in that an American woman and her Aussie husband hated their Misty's meals. I feel for them, because I've had that same experience elsewhere. I'm sure most of us here have. Maybe it was an off day... everyone deserves one of those, even restaurants. Maybe you chose menu items that weren't the best Misty has to offer. I suggest you return and order a burger and a shake... the best things on the menu (but, then again, I haven't had everything on the menu). If you still don't like it, then you don't like it. You never have to return. And as far as not being authentic American, we are in Australia, not the US. There will be differences, even if slight. Ingredients taste different here for one thing. Other ingredients aren't available. The thing killing Americans but gives all the food it's distinct taste - high fructose corn syrup - is almost unheard of here in Oz (thank God!). I think misty does a fine job with what she has.

The most American thing about Misty's though, is the service. I have not been anywhere in Oz that caters to the customer like Misty's... and that's very American. I won't go into details about everything American about the service, but let's just say most of the world doesn't offer that. Some aspects of service that are taken granted for in the States are displayed at Misty's. So keep up the good work!

Every time I have eaten here I have loved it. The specials are great too. I love the Daal Makhani... lots of cumin! The guys who work there are also very friendly.

I highly suggest ordering a menu. It's a great overview of what they have to offer. I prefer the curries to the stir fries. I love to sit on the floor there as well; it just adds something to the experience.

I really liked this place. I am new to Nepalese food, but I found the food here to be very tasty. The grilled meats were the best, but the curries were tasty too. The service was wonderful as well.
