I had my first pregnancy and child under Chee Kuan's care in 2010 - she was AMAZING! I always felt that I was given her full attention and time. She usually ran right on time for appointments (incredible given the nature of this field of work). When I had PROM, then induction, labour and natural delivery, she was there at all the right times even though it was outside of normal business hours. Above all, my partner and I adored Chee Kuan's sense of humour, sharp intelligence and personal attention - she made us feel that the birth of our child was as important to her as it was to us. Highly, highly recommend her and will return when it's time for #2.

Met with colleagues for dinner with some international guests (who were vegetarian) and had a slight moment of concern when more than half of the 'vegetable' section of the menu was identified as having chicken broth or chicken sauce or minced chicken through them!
Luckily the waiter knew the product inside out and was able to help us find and modify dishes that the kitchen could easily prepare in order for everyone to be able to eat delicious meals.

Been here several times for take away lunch and eat-in dinner - food is always super fresh and delicious. The hand rolls and salads are fabulous. Pays to phone ahead to make a booking as can get a bit cold out on the roadside - and cars passing are not the best accompaniment to such good food.

We enjoyed a relaxed Saturday Brunch with friends at Gourmet Embrace - the setting was relaxed and welcoming, the staff profesional and efficient, the food fresh and yummy and the value hard to beat! We will certainly revisit when back in the area.

We arrived at Lombosco's without a reservation on a Wednesday night. It was surprisingly busy and we were seated and served promptly by a lovely waitress.

The evening was fine, the food was enjoyable (without being overly exciting), the service was great to start with, but deteriorated when they got busy with making coffees (understandably). Overall it was a 'nice; night, but nothing exciting and we also felt it was a bit overpriced for the quality of the food and restaurant.

MD's is great to grab a quick bite and coffee or to sit down for an extended lunch. The staff are always bright and cheery and that's what you need pre-coffee on a Monday morning. Food is always fresh and enjoyable.

I use PhotoQ regularly for printing digital photos and find the staff delightful to deal with. They are informed and efficient and always greet you with a smile, even when they're busy. The store has recently been refitted and has a good range of frames/albums as well as many digital kiosks.

They also have online uploading for digital printing which I have had the occasional hiccup with, but has worked well the last few times I've tried.

Hobnob is one of those fabulous places you can just lose yourself in for hours - everytime you turn around you notice somethign you didn't see the first time. There is good roatation of stock so it always seems fresh when you some in and they have a terrific range of handbags, hats, jewellery, random bits and pieces (ie. scarves, hairpins, etc.). There's something for every budget and a huge varieties of colours and styles. A real treasure trove!

I've always been able to find a gift at short notice here (for females anyway).

I have adopted a total of two adult dogs, one pup and two kittens from RSPCA Victoria's Burwood Shelter over the past 5 years. The service has improved a lot in the last couple of years and they now have Adoption Officer staff to help match you up to the right pet. This is great as it not only helps to educate big-hearted but uninformed people, but also means these animals are less likely to return to the shelter again as they go out and stay out.

Their new shelter facility is almost fully operational and looks like it will be a great base for the wonderful work they do supporting and caring for all the stray, surrendered and injured animals.
