Gold Leaf (the old Shark Fin) is quite an enjoyable place for yum cha and dinner. The service is OK if a bit slow. But as before in Shark Fin, Gold Leaf's dining room echos badly making it very noisy.
Some of the waiter/ess' are not always great, as we have had our order incorrectly taken once.
Oh, and if you like glitzy things, you'll love the decor
All together a reasonable place to eat.

The restaurant is a bit dirty but the whole reason you go is for the duck. But the duck is excellent and really good value.
If you get the manager serving your table you're in for quite a show, lets just say he very eccentric. Compared to a restaurant like Quan Jude (Queen St), the price is unbeatable.

We have been going since I was a very young kid. They treat our family very well and the dim sum is quite good.
Booking is usually essential even though they have plenty of tables...

The food is very good authentic Calabrian food. And their menu is quite extensive. However, the food comes out very slowly on some evenings and on occasions, the kitchen can be distracting. There is often shouting going on in the open kitchen which sometimes spoils the otherwise wonderful atmosphere.

I certainly never expected to find a suit for myself anywhere. I thought I may have to get one tailored and with only two weeks left I was really stressed out.
I went to High and Mighty where they had plenty out suites for my size. I tried on many cuts and fabrics. In fact they all fitted very well which made it a tough decision.
I bought a 100% New Zealand wool suit tailored in New Zealand for $750. I'm going back next week to check out some of their formal shoes which is great since it is impossible to find size 15 - 16 shoes, especially formal ones.
