I love the cupcakes here, I only have 3 issues - 1 the place is so small it's hard to move and/or get a table, 2 there's often a long queue because they are so popular and 3 they often sell out early! There's a huge selection to choose from, even the most fussy person could find something they like here.

They have lots of yummy chocolate things, I'd especially recommend the chocolate affogato! They are a tad expensive, but the things I've tried so far have been quite nice.

Nice, friendly little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating (though if it's raining the outdoor seating is too exposed). The meals are generous, and not overly expensive, and the service is quick and friendly. They have really nice beer battered chips!

The service was good, reasonably quick and polite. There wasn't a huge menu, and it seems a little expensive if you're having just a casual lunch, but they seem to have a cheaper take away option, and "bar menu", which are priced about what you might expect from a place like this. I think this restaurant has been done up recently, and has gone more upmarket than it used to be, so if you haven't been for a while, you might be in for a surprise. Dining is outside on the marina right near the boats, so if you love water/boat views, this place is right up there.

We discovered this place when it used to be called Mum's Mess, and mostly sold jams and other spreads. Many years ago, the shop was taken over and renamed Food Lovers, and the shop and range of products has expanded over the years. They still make many of the products on the premises using the original recipes. My mum really enjoys their whiskey marmalade, and I like the apple jelly. Whenever we come back to Canberra to visit, we try to come here to stock up on our favourites!

This place is great, especially for kids. It's not overly expensive, and there are various discounts that make it cheaper still - children under 4 free, seniors discount, family passes etc. This is the sort of place that you can wander around a few times to see what you can notice that you missed the first time around. Quite alot of attention and detail seems to have gone into the models and the landscaping to keep it looking good, and new models crop up every now and then. My mum loves the little ride-on train that does a circuit of the grounds, it's an extra $2, but gives you a different view.

We stayed here for a couple of nights, in a family room with two bedrooms and a bathroom - although one bedroom doubled as the dining area with table, fridge, kettle etc, and was a little cramped. We opted to stay here because of the reasonable priced rooms ($120 for economy 2 bedrooms), and was a nice drive to Canberra, where we wanted to see Floriade. It's on the main road that runs through town, so there were no problems finding the place either.

Even though there was only 2 of us, we appreciated having separate sleeping areas, as we both snore, and also like our privacy - the room we were in supposedly slept up to 5 people, but that'd probably be a bit cramped for more than a night or two. We also liked that the bathroom was completely separate to both the bedrooms, so we didn't disturb each other. Also good were the two TVs, free wireless internet access and friendly service - and prompt service of breakfasts, which were generous and not overly expensive.

The only complaints we had were really minor, and some easily rectified - we had to ask for milk for tea and coffee both days we were there, and whoever serviced the room after the first night didn't leave a breakfast menu, but we got one at reception with no problems. The room could also have used a bit of a makeover or revamp, and a couple of minor repairs, but it was clean and perfectly serviceable as it was.

We came here for afternoon tea on a Saturday afternoon, and to browse their shop. It's in a converted historical building, near HMAS Penguin, and the old naval buildings on Chowder Bay Rd. The cafe itself is on a large balcony at the back of the shop, and has a great view of the harbour. We arrived at the tail end of the lunch period, and a few people were just leaving, so we got seated quickly, but getting the attention of a waiter to take our order when we were ready was not easy. It also took a little while for our food to arrive and my cappuccino was bitter when it finally came. The waitress clearing our table at the end said she'd let the barista know about the coffee for future reference, which was nice. The best bit about this cafe is the great view, we even saw a couple of rabbits hopping around the grounds having a nibble on the lawn.

My family often goes to this restaurant for various occasions. We went again for lunch today, and it was fairly quiet, but we arrived after 1:30pm. Normally it's fairly busy, and on special occasions like Fathers Day, Mothers Day etc a booking is advisable. This is a buffet restaurant with a reasonable selection of food that would cater to most tastes. The food is mostly Asian, but there are things like spaghetti, garlic bread, salads and other things that would appeal to people who aren't keen on Asian food. The service is fairly friendly, but as it's self-service, the staff generally leave you alone once you've paid, unless they are clearing away plates or you try to attract their attention for something.

I went here for lunch on a Sunday, in a group of 8 people. We all ordered different things, and various people had specific dietary requirements, including one who is a vegan. The staff were polite, friendly and accommodating in regards to making meals to fit in with various requests. There was a small delay with the bringing of two meals due to a "computer glitch", but the two people were given a complimentary glass of wine to make up for it, even though the meals came out within minutes of all the others. Although on a very busy road, the place is nice, with lots of greenery surrounding it.
