A great little Greek Taverna on Swan st in Richmond. Really traditional greek dishes. The dips and pita were delicious as a starter followed by the chicken souvlaki with a fresh Greek salad and roasted potatoes. Lots of great lamb dishes also.
This place is a winner.

A great asian grocery store in the northern suburbs. Lots of variety and hard to get ingredients that you cannot find at Coles or Woolworths. Everything is fairly priced, be sure to check the use by dates.
I visited Aspley Oriental on a Sunday for Yum Cha, it was busy but we only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. The best thing about Yum Cha here is as soon as you sit down you have food in front of you. All the steamed dumplings were delicious, I tried some flat noodles with beef mince - maybe give that one a miss.

If you are craving a proper bagel with cream cheese try these guys out, they have the real thing! They also sell lots of tasty french goodies as well as a variety or pies. Great place to pop into on a lazy Sunday morning.

Located on Sandgate road not far from the Albion train station. Funky decor and an interesting dinner menu. They also do breakfast on weekends. I tried the duck for main which was fantastic and came with a great side salad, the dessert menu is hard to pass up also. Bit hard to get parking on Friday nights so allow some extra time for that.

Great location on the Brisbane river, started off with some tapas style entrees which were delicious, had the spinach risotto as main which was a bit soupy.

Best calamari I have eaten! They also have a fairly good variety of fish and other seafood items. Need to ask for extra lemon - they gave us one quarter in an order for 4 people.
