I stopped in a grabbed some take away from Gators on fathers day. We ordered a variety of fish, calamari, potato scallops and chips. I found them to be very good value and large portion sizes. The only thing I would not recommend is their grilled fish - it was a bit overcooked and dry.

I recently visited Body Central in Teneriffe for the first time after receiving an In Bloom package for my birthday- it included a 1hr pregnancy massage plus a mani & pedi. The whole experience was amazing and the staff were very friendly and professional. They followed up with an email and a voucher for $30 the following week! I would definitely recommend this business if you are after some pampering!

This review is for Mamasita, Melbourne VIC

I love mexican food and this new restaurant in Melbourne didn't disappoint! I went there for lunch on a Monday with a friend and they were busy busy!
We shared a board of beef and pork tostaditas which were delicious little appetisers, then we each tried some soft tacos as main, there was a great variety to choose from - I had chicken and vegetarian. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Melbourne's CBD.
The only downside to this restaurant would probably be the access - might be difficult for someone trying to lug a pram and little ones.

I tried the restaurant for dinner with 4 of my girlfriends. We shared some bruschetta which came on a pizza base with tomatoes, onion, basil and feta - it was amazing! Then I tried the pollo pene pasta which was also really good. All the girls were also very happy with their meals. We were going to try the chocolate pizza but after mains the staff seemed to forget about us so in the end we just asked for the bill and went somewhere also for dessert.
There is a guy who works there who goes around playing practical jokes with plastic spiders etc - great for the kids, got a bit tiring after an hour or so though.

This review is for Vivo's, Palm Cove QLD

I stopped into this busy Palm cove cafe on my way to Port Douglas after being recommended by one of my friends who used to live in the area. They have a really diverse brunch menu with lots of options. Great coffee, and the banana smoothie with organic yogurt and honey is worth making the stop in town. The staff were very friendly and the cafe is on the esplanade looking over the beach so try and get a table out the front. Enjoy!

This review is for Seabean Cafe Restaurant, Port Douglas QLD

I tried the new restaurant Seabean recently in Port Douglas. The menu is a mixture of spanish, Greek and Italian food, with tapas style starters and a great variety of mains and desserts. They also have a good wine list, and a variety of daily specials.
My husband had a few tapas as his main meal including Kefalograviera cheese (similar to Saganaki), meatballs, chorizo, and calamari, which were all fantastic. I had the vegetarian paella, the serving size was quite large and came with a good variety of vegetables and was topped with feta cheese.
I would definitely visit this restaurant again when holidaying in Port Douglas.

This place is always packed whenever I go to Port douglas so I decided to finally try it out. Fast friendly service and very yummy meals. I had the BBQ chicken with roti bread and rice and my husband had the chicken Penang curry with roti bread and rice. The portions were perfect and I also found the prices to be very reasonable.
Definitely worth a try if you are in Port douglas.

This review is for QT, Port Douglas QLD

verified email - 15 Jul 2012

QT is a brand new resort in Port Douglas, they are in the old Rydges location on the road into Port Douglas. The resort is decorated in a funky retro style, there are two great restaurants - one is a buffet style with some a la carte options and the other is more of a small bar/poolside option- and there is a fantastic lagoon pool with a swim up bar! Staff are really friendly and its suitable for families or couples.
The only reason I did not give QT 5 out of 5 stars is that they do not provide complimentary WIF forcing us to head into town to cafes for breakfast each morning rather than just enjoying a coffee at the resort whilst catching up on emails etc.

This review is for Wagamama, Fortitude Valley QLD

verified email - 04 Jul 2012

Cant believe I've only just tried Wagamamas for the first time! they have a great selection of Japanese food - soups, noodles and stir fries. I tried the Gyoza, chicken karaga and the chicken tama stir fry. All three dishes were fantastic. The only criticism I have is that some of the mains came out before our starters but we were warned about this so maybe order starters and mains separately.

Stopped into Freestyle for dessert, amazing! Between our group of 4 we tried the Spanish Churros, a taste of Queensland (macadamia slice, macadamia ice cream & caramel sauce), sticky date pudding & chocolate walnut brownie. All dishes were really well presented, huge servings and all tasted so good. Definitely worth a try next time you are craving something sweet.
