This review is for Dr Darcy J Economos (ENT), Adelaide SA

Dr Economos is a very good ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) specialist. I found him to be professional and thorough, and didnt 'beat around the bush'. I ended up needing my tonsils removed as they were in terrible shape. From my initial consult, to pre-op, the surgery and post-op appointments, he was great. I had a couple issues regarding medication after the surgery once I was home, and he was easy to contact after hours on his mobile and made you feel like you were his top priority.

This review is for Haggle Baby, Beverley SA

I have been to Haggle Baby a couple times over the past 2 or so years, with my most recent visit being in the past week. They have a large range of car seats, prams, strollers, toys, nursery furniture and linen, monitors, etc. I have noticed they have gone a little more upmarket than what I remember, with more of the expensive brands and items and too many of the lower priced items. For example, 2 years ago they had a range of fantastic prams at affordable prices for the average family (approx $150-$200), but now, the average price for a pram was about $450. The staff are very helpful and attentive and do not push sales on you. A pleasant store to visit.

This review is for Jenny Chou, Prospect SA

I have been seeing Jenny Chou for about 10 years (if not a little longer). She is amazing. They offer treatment on the 'biocom' machine (needless accupuncture), traditional accupuncture, cupping, herbal medicine, naturopathy and more. Jenny has helped me with various medical problems along with family members and friends. She doesnt try to push expensive herbs and teas on you, but if she suggests it, I highly recommend them because they do work. She also doesnt push for you to go back regularly unless she honestly believes it will help you.

This review is for The Brompton Hotel, Brompton SA

I had dinner here with my family the other night. It was my first visit and I really enjoyed it. When driving to the hotel it feels like a 'dingy' area at night, but then you pull into the carpark of this gorgeous modern hotel. The design of the place is fantastic and so is the decor. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is very cosy and they present a nice menu. The hit of the table was the stone grill meals where you cook your own meat at the table. I thought some of the menu items were a little pricey, but not really more than you would expect from a place like this. Would definitely be happy to eat here again. They are also Entertainment Book Card friendly which is great.

Approximate cost: $26.00

The staff at this newsagency are always very friendly and welcoming. They have a large range of magazines, greeting cards etc. Everything you would expect at a good newsagency. They also always have tables of books, cds and gifts etc. out the front of the store at great prices. Always a pleasure to visit.

This review is for Lawrence And Hanson, Klemzig SA

I needed to buy a few blank plates, data points and powerpoints and dropped by this business as I regularly drive past and it was convenient. I found the staff to be very helpful and they didnt try to sell me the more expensive brands/products (which is always appreciated). They colour matched the plates with what I already had around the house and were extremely helpful in explaining the differences between various products. I was gobsmacked when they told me the total price at the register, it was less than half of what I was expecting. Will definitely go back for future electrical needs.

This review is for Barnacle Bill, Glenunga SA

verified email - 21 May 2012

My family loves barnacle bills and because we were catching up with friends, we decided to go to a different one to our regular because it was convenient for our friends. All I can say is, never again. The place was small and felt 'dingy'. The service was slow and meals for the whole table were below average. 2 of our meals had a lot of bones left in the fish, and the other 2 meals which were battered, has 2 or 3 times the amount of batter that should be used. We were not impressed at all.

I tend to only shop here if I'm close by and desperate to get 1 or 2 items. The shop is small which is okay, but their range of products is very disappointing. They are lacking a great range, which is partly understandable because they are small, they are not like Coles and Woolworths, but you would think their prices would be competitive. They simply are not. I am all for supporting local businesses etc, but in the end their prices are almost highway robbery in many cases and are simply not affordable. The staff are also not the friendliest around. The shop feels very cold and unwelcoming with a poor selection and high prices to follow.

This review is for Sussex Hotel, Walkerville SA

verified email - 21 May 2012

The Sussex Hotel has been done up and is very appealling in decor and design. They have a lovely beer garden fully equipped with heaters etc. for those cold nights. The restaurant is very cosy and overlooks the beer garden. They have a decent menu, but I think some of the prices are a little on the pricey side for what you are served, but most places are heading in the same direction. I have also been here for a couple Christmas events over the years which have been very delightful.

This review is for The Original Pancake Kitchen, Adelaide SA

verified email - 21 May 2012

I love the pancake kitchen. It's open 24/7 and they have a large menu that has something for everyone. The premises is cosy, but could do with a fresh coat of paint and perhaps better lighting. But the food is great and the staff are generally friendly. The service is generally quite fast also.
