Good value for money, friendly staff, nice food and plenty of seats to eat. The wedges with sweet chilli sauce and sour cream are one to get and also their milkshakes are pretty good. They have a good range of sandwhiches/wraps and foccacias etc.
Awesome value, yummy food, especially the chicken and prawn dumplings. The place is always busy especially at lunch times so there can sometimes be a wait, which can be tricky at lunch times to be able to eat in your lunch break.
This said though the food is worth the wait if you have the time and the prices are great value especially the dumplings! Extremely good value. $11 for 15 chicken and prawn or even cheaper for other varieties. Despite the wait and sometimes lax service I will keep going back for more
Old fashioned, genuinely friendly service, fast and efficient and the food is amazing! The Italian foccacia was brilliant and the bread was so yum! The cakes and their pies (try the Country Chicken with leek and cheese) are also a treat for the tastebuds.
It can be busy with queues to the 3 registers long but it moves quickly. Definitely be back there when it is time to get out of Melbourne again.
Also bought some coffee (granulated to take away) and have to admit it rivals Lavazza as my favourite, pretty good value too
Approximate cost: $5.00 - $8.00
I got a coffee from here, it wasn't too bad a price, but it was only a small coffee. However it was exceptional. The place was packed out and they had a singer as entertainment.
The food looked yum, so next time I go I might have to try the food
Delicious freshly made from easily to tell fresh ingredients. I had the char Keow Teow and it was devine.
My friend has had a noodle dish with prawns and has gone back for the same one on numerous occassions. I definitely have to go back and try something different
The staff including the owner are just delightful, even turning up the lights when thinking we were struggling to read the menu and contintued to provide the table next to us with prawn crackers for the toddler who was devouring them.
Food was delicious!!
Approximate cost: $12-$15
Quite a funky little place, on an "island" on the Yarra. Service is pretty good, have all the usual drinks, average prices. Only criticism is that one time we were there a friend went up out of the area for a call and wasnt allowed back in due to too many people. They probably shouldve taken note that she was already in there
Very happy with the coffee from here - tastes great every time and also served by friendly, efficient staff who are quick.
Havent had a bad coffee, very easily located in the Flinders Street subway up to Degraves Street. As the name suggests all on truth/trust where you put your money in a bowl :-)
Approximate cost: $3.50 - $4.50
The juices here are amazing and the best part ALL fruit.
Try the South American one (the recipe is a surprise) - delicious as either a smoothie or a juice. This is my favourite of many good ones
The wraps are also amazingly good and they always have deals like a large juice and wrap for $12. For what you get and the average prices for lunch in Melbourne's CBD definitely a bargain. I want to be able to get into the city early enough to try their breakfasts one day.
The staff are friendly, helpful and very engaging, and quick serving. Nothing bad to say at all
Approximate cost: $7.00
Very cool trendy and funky looking place, although "hidden" away from the main streets, people must know their way aroud Melbourne as it is always packed, busy and people everywhere.
Normally this sort of scene would deter me due to lack of space, but not in this case, as it is an awesome bar with an equally fantastic atmosphere
Wasnt too keen to come here, but was lured by friends. Balcony is nice, have had chips from there as a snack which are pretty good
As a backpackers bar very casual, but service is very good. Comfortable bar stools and a few couches
