This review is for Thai Chaiyo Restaurant, Croydon VIC

We have eaten at this restaurant a few times now. For me it rates well in some area but not so well in other aspects. I really like their food because it consistently tastes good and is better quality than most of the other Thai restaurants I've eaten at. The ambience is generally quite nice, the staff are polite and helpful and the prices are ok. Comment from some of my dinner mates were that they thought their meals were a little light on for meat and in fact one said, "where is the meat?" We didn't like the location of our table so we moved to another table close by. The owner came over and told us we couldn't sit at the table which was a little frustrating because we didn't really know which table we were meant to sit at and he was a little firm us. We moved back to the first table and then the owner said we could sit on the other side of the restaurant. I'm not sure why we weren't allowed to sit at the other table, maybe it had been booked by a regular but anyway I reminded myself that I was there to enjoy myself. But I didn't feel as relaxed in the restaurant as I would have liked, and one of my friends who dines there regularly thinks that the owner takes the running of his restaurant very seriously (or to put it another way runs a tight ship). While I acknowledge that care and attention to detail matters, after while I find this atmosphere in this restaurant a little tense.

We were referred to Dawn by a real estate agent when we were considering buying a house. Dawn very generously looked at the section 32 and to our amazement not only was she prompt, she did not charge us for her time and services. She was very helpful in the way that she pointed out aspects of the section 32 to be aware of that may have caused us problems. We haven't used the services of a conveyancer before putting in an offer before but we will make sure we do from now on (of course we will check if there is a cost or not). We did not end up buying the house so we can't comment on the whole conveyancing service or costs but next time we require a conveyancer Dawn will be our first choice.

I highly recommend the ugg boots and slippers from this business. The quality is vastly superior compared to the Asian made mass produced products. Yes they are more expensive but the extra cost is worth the good fit and the number of years they will last if you look after them. The owners make the products themselves and they take the time and effort to serve their customers well. If you are looking for a good sheepskin product don't delay because last time I was in the shop they were talking about retirement. Good products that last are getting more and more difficult to come by.

I buy casual clothing and underwear. I find the quality of the clothing is really good which is not easy to find nowadays. Compared with the non organic clothing I've bought, items from here last longer in general and keep their shape and colour well. The staff are very helpful and the prices are excellent. It's probably good that I don't live close by or I would have a big dent in my bank account.

We have all had good results from Catherine's treatments. Yes she sells Neways but you can always say no. Don't let that stop you. Catherine uses a machine like the old Vega machines which work on merdians (I'm sure there is a lot more to it) to diagnose the cause of your health conditions. She does specialise in allergies and picks up on things that are often not diagnosed elsewhere. I acknowledge her method is unorthodox and some people won't believe in it. I have responded well to her drops and so has my dog who has a skin condition. Catherine found there was something in his diet that was causing his skin to flare up. Yet the skin specialist that I took my dog to tested for allergies and found nothing. From one simple change to my dog's diet, his skin is much improved. You may need to commit to a few visits to get on top of your condition and give things a proper chance to work.

The lady who runs Barking Good has a stall at various community markets. I met her at Kallista but she is also at various other locations mostly in country Victoria. She is an advocate of natural feeding and her product range includes books on the BARF diet, healthy and good quality pet treats and she makes biscuits that my dog actually does go a bit wacko for. Other products include high quality dog toys that last and leads. She is a font of knowledge about natural feeding and is also interested in natural pet remedies as that's how she cares for her own dogs.

This is not my local PO but I've been in a few times now and compared with other POs I go to I find the service a lot more helpful and friendly here. They will patiently help if you're dealing with something a bit tricky and there is parking close by. I've ranked the value for money a bit lower because I consider that Australia post overcharge for postage especially on parcels, but that's an issue I have with Aust Post, not with this particular PO

We have eaten in this restaurant many times and we have never been disappointed with the food or the service. We agree that the Satay Chicken and Honey Chicken are delicious. The food is consistently good quality and servings are generous. Like all restaurants it can get a bit noisy when it's busy but not much can be done about that other than going at quieter times. The service is pleasant too.

The little child in me adores this shop, there are so many lovely things to look at and I like the naturalness of the products. Compared with most others shops I find this shop relaxing and soothing and I could happily spend ages just wandering around and taking it all in. The prices are high but they are on a parr with prices in other stores selling Steiner/Waldorf products. I only buy for myself so I don't spend a lot at a time but if I was buying for children yes it would be expensive. I've always found the owner of the shop friendly and good to talk to. She is usually by herself and busy so when I go to the shop it can take a while to get served but I treat it as an opportunity to chill out for a while.

This review is for Pearl Garden Chinese Restaurant, Upwey VIC

We had dined at Pearl Garden for the first time. I'm really fussy about the quality of restaurant food and I was impressed with the quality of our meals. The ingredients were good quality, the food tasted good and it wasn't too salty as they don't add MSG to their food. The servings were generous and the prices were good. The service was also good. We didn't need to wait too long for our meals and the waiter was pleasant. The hot towels and fortune cookies at the end of the meal were a pleasant touch. We have dined at other Chinese restaurants in the hills and we think that Pearl Garden is the best so far.
