This review is for Sandwich Stack, Marrickville NSW

This is a great Sandwich shop offering lots of gourmet sandwiches and hot food. They use good quality very large slices of bread which is great and you can choose from set sandwiches or create your own. By memory I had a beef sandwich packed with vegetables of all sorts and it was around $6-$7. They also offer hot finger food, hamburgers, roast beef, roasted vegetables and baked potatoes. A top shop with friendly staff.

This is a very newly opened establishment located on King St. It is very hip and trendy, with the interior featuring a yellow colour scheme. The menu features food with Middle Eastern flavours and authentic street recipes. There is a lot of taste testing going on outside the store which is a great way to try the food. I dropped in recently for a sand which which was around the $5 mark. It was tasty, and the staff are great, very obliging.

I've been here once and it is a nice little shop. They do yummy wraps and salads, and the prices are reasonable. It's a great place to stop at if you're looking for food on the go, as most of the items are suitable for takeaway. Tasteful interior if you decide to eat in. The staff are very friendly. Lots of shops have tried to make it at this premises before without success, but Eatery on King seems to be doing well.

This review is for Bathers Pavilion, Balmoral NSW

There is a Bathers' Pavillion Restaurant and a Bathers' Pavillion Cafe. I went to the Cafe for breakfast and it was nice. They do lovely eggs. The setting is lovely, just along Balmoral Beach. I have had lunch here once and there was a long queue, so it was a bit of a wait. The staff are friendly, though busy. The food I found a bit overpriced, but probably what you would expect for the location.

This review is for Marigold Restaurant, Haymarket NSW

This is a fantastic place to have top of the range yum cha. There are just so many to choose from. I really loved the prawn dumplings, the sauce was fantastic and I loved the egg custard tarts. I suppose the downside is that if its too busy, a lot of the good dishes go quick, so you'll get the ladies with the trolleys coming out with a lot of the same food. But a wonderful, busy atmosphere with lots of families.

This review is for Super Bowl Chinese Restaurant, Sydney NSW

verified email - 31 Dec 2010

Superbowl is a great Chinese restaurant which always seems to be busy, even very late at night. The food is great, I've had congees there a few times with crispy fried bread, it's great for breakfast and as a late night comfort food. The shop itself could be a bit cleaner and have a face lift, but this is Chinatown and most of the shops there are like this.

This review is for Rahmen Genki, Artarmon NSW

This is a sweet little shop with a cozy, homely atmosphere located just next to, or under Artarmon train station. The staff are wonderful, very courteous, friendly and obliging. The ramen is so-so, a bit lacking in taste and the noodles were too soft, as if they had been left sitting to soak. The serving size was way too big, I couldn't finish it all even if I was starving. Possibly the ramen is better at the lunch hour, as I have been twice, and the soft ramen was served when I dropped in quite late in the afternoon. The lunch hour ramen tasted better and wasn't too soft, it was fine. Just needed a bit more taste.

This review is for Sushi St, Marrickville NSW

Sushi St has just recently arrived at Marrickville Metro. They offer a wide variety of freshly made individual sushi rolls, like chicken teriyaki, beef, and salmon & avocado among others. Also there is packaged sushi lunch boxes and hot food like crab claws and chicken skewers. I had a sushi roll and bits and pieces of hot food, and I was impressed at the quality and freshness of the food. The rolls are of a reasonable size, unlike other stores, and there's always lots of customers gathered round the counter.

This review is for The Little Snail, Pyrmont NSW

This is a snazzy restaurant offering a lovely atmosphere. I came in for lunch and had the kangaroo fillet and snails in garlic butter. The kangaroo was a bit tough, and the snails were not for me. I felt like I could taste some soil - definitely not for the squeamish, but if you're willing to try the snails, this is a must, even for the novelty.

This review is for Dr J Crawford, Sydney NSW

My family have been going to Dr Crawford for years. He is a very professional dentist, offering top quality service. He is also very friendly, and honest and offers a personal approach. I came in to do a routine check up and have my teeth cleaned a while ago. He quite truthfully let me know that there was nothing much wrong with my teeth, just a build up of plaque and showed me the correct way to do a thorough brushing. You know you are in good hands here.
