I've been here a couple of times. The food is yummy, especially the butter chicken, it has a very nice sweet flavour, unlike some other shops where they make it too hot. The naan bread is wonderful too, very soft and tasty, and you can get both of these in a meal with a drink to save money. The staff are friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this place if you are going to Broadway to do some shopping

This review is for JMD Family Medical Practice, Marrickville NSW

This a small medical practice, and the only doctor seems to be Dr Behary. I've been here twice and its a nice, clean centre. Although there was no one waiting when I came in, I still had to wait for about 15 minutes to see the doctor. A bit surprising, really. But the doctor is good, very professional, though perhaps a little impersonal and rushed. I would recommend going to the larger medical centres on Marrickville Rd if you have time, but this is a reasonably good one if you live nearby.

This review is for Surgery Dr Minh Thu Nguyen, Marrickville NSW

I've been to this surgery many times. It is run solely by Dr Nguyen. She is an excellent doctor, and most times there is no wait to see her. So you can come in and out fairly quickly. My baby daughter had conjuctivitis, and after 5 minutes of seeing the doctor, she had a cream prescribed for her. Compare this to a few days ago at RPA where my daughter had a similiar problem (but with a fever), and it took around 4 hours and we came out with no cream. The surgery itself could do with a makeover, but all in all great service.

This review is for Kelby's Cafe, Marrickville NSW

This is a funky cafe located in the heart of Marrickville. They do great breakfasts and smoothies. I love the big breakfast, it's nice and tasty with a large serving. The thing I really like about this cafe is the funky, laid back mood and the fact that it is child friendly. They have a mother's room with toys and books which is great.

This is a great find. A very unique place indeed. The exterior makes you think it is a kebab takeaway or something of that nature, but when you come in, you realise it isn't. I love the flashing lights, the funky chairs and the framed Virgin Mary with Christ on the wall, and of course the Greek music. The food is fabulous, very fresh and tasty, and most importantly quite cheap. Mains are $10. I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict. They also do pastas, pizza and burgers and lots of Greek style dishes.

This review is for Lotus, Marrickville NSW

Lotus is a recently opened restaurant, so I decided to give it a go a few weeks ago. I had a really great dining experience here. Lotus is a smart, stylish restaurant, with modern decor and lovely food. The standout dish for me was the steamed barramundi with soy and shallots. It was delicious and reasonably priced around the $18 mark. The staff are great. I would highly recommend this place, and it is way above the other restaurants and eateries along Illawarra Rd.

I came in for a breakfast once, and it was a fairly pleasant dining experience. They have lots of breakfast items on offer- I tried the big breakfast which was great with a very large serving. I love when cafes do that. The only downside is that you have to wait a bit for the food.

This is an upmarket French restaurant which I was brought to as a birthday treat. I would definitely never go here on my own accord. Very expensive food, which was delicious but not worth the price. I had a beef fillet with a nice sauce which was tender, but it costed $30 something dollars. I had a nice chardonnay which was top of the range. The atmosphere is lovely, very romantic, so it is nice to be brought to on a special occasion or to bring your date to, if you're a big spender.

This review is for Kathmandu Ma Nepalese Restaurant‎, Newtown NSW

verified email - 28 Dec 2010

Kathmandu Ma offers a unique dining experience. It is a humble, homely restaurant, nothing flash, which is good because it is relaxing and laid back. The food is tasty and unlike anything I've tasted before, very unusual and aromatic. I've never tried Nepalese before sp this was a surprise. Went I went in, we were the only customers, so the staff gave us their full attention which was great.

I went here once on a Friday night and it was a pleasant, lovely dining experience. I absolutely loved the rice paper rolls. The chilli and salt tofu was nice as well, and they have great desserts-I loved the taro, sticky rice and ice cream. The service was quick and it was nice to have a window seat looking out onto King St.
