This review is for Daisy's Restaurant, Ringwood VIC

We visited Daisy's using the Hot Dockets voucher - Buy 1 Main Meal get a second for $5. Using these voucher's the price of meals at Daisy's was quite reasonable. Without these voucher's I believe this restaurant is overpriced. You order at the main counter and the food is then brought to your table.

We have visited Daisy's twice in the last 3 weeks, primarily because of the Playground. On our first visit it was a Tuesday night and the restaurant was very quiet. The venue appeared clean enough and the children were able to happily enjoy the play area. The food was served quickly and the standard appeared be okay.

On our second visit it was "Kids Eat Free" Night and the restaurant was far busier. The food was served very quickly, but the bar was not. In fact, after ordering our meal the food was at the table more quickly than we were after stopping to order a drink.

I noticed on this occasion how outdated and dirty the venue appeared. It has not been updated in the last 20 years, and perhaps not given a mega clean in as many years. I spent more time in the playground on this occasion and it was much busier and constant supervision was necessary.

The playground area is freezing! The restaurant in general is cold, but the playground is like Ice. The design of the playground is unsafe as it allows children to be able to climb the tube slides and get on top of the playground which is very high. There is no play equipment for children under 2 years either. On the plus side, the did have a balloon artist here on a the Thursday night which the kids thought was a fantastic treat.

First let me start by saying this isn't the cleanest indoor play centre I have ever visited. It never looks pristine, but I have also never seen anything particularly disturbing either. I just think of it is like this, we let our kids play at the local park, so Koko Jumbo definitely can't be any worse than that.

It is always quiet, so the children can be left to play without constant supervision. You can see what they are doing from the comfort of a table whilst you enjoy a tea / coffee and chat with a friend.

The owners, whilst sometimes abrupt and rude mean well, and a very kind. When ordering food thy always make recommendations to keep the cost down, and even allow you to bring your own food in provided it is pre packed and meets health department requirements. (i.e - potato crisps)

When my son fell over the owner quickly ran to help. The kids love Koko Jumbo as they have plenty of room to run around, and they can do so without running into other kids.

Overall, Koko Jumbo is a relaxed and enjoyable experience for both me and my son. It doesn't cost the earth, and on every second visit I get a free coffee too! Definitely can not complain.

This review is for Glitz Gymnastics Academy, Lilydale VIC

My son has now attended Glitz Gymnastics twice, and has loved it twice. The first time he attended was for a party.

Whilst the 'party" side of the event could have been better organised, the gymnastics part of amazing. The kids were exposed to a range of different equipment in a safe, organised and fun manner.

They were offered the opportunity to engage in structured games which involved the use of the balancing beam, mini trampoline, rings, somersault mats and foam pit.

They were then given 30 minutes free time to use their favourite equipment. They were also given access to jumping castle.

My issue with the party planning was that the 2 young girls hosting the party had not planned how they would run the food / cake time. It was all just a little chaotic at that point.

Great venue, I recommend this for al children!

I love this restaurant. The prices are slightly higher than other Thai restaurant in the area, but so is the quality of food.

We have been here twice now, and have not been disappointed. After travelling to Thailand in 2011, my husband I have struggled to find a restaurant that sells decent Thai food. The food here is amazing.

The also offer a range of traditional Thai foods that many restaurants do not (for example Thai Crepes).

The great good, decent service and gorgeous interior decorating of this restaurant make for a very enjoyable evening.

It is also very busy so I would recommend booking if you have a large group.

This review is for Melbourne Zoo, Parkville VIC

I am a "Friend of the Zoo" and I just love Melbourne Zoo. There is always something different to do (no matter how many times I go) and the exhibit are always changing. The emphasis on animal conservation is fantastic, and with each visit I always learn something new. I love the new indoor area for the kids, that allows them to pretend to be animal experts / professionals. The new playgrounds are also excellent fun.

My favourite part of the Zoo at the moment is the seal show. It is so educational and still very entertaining. I never grow tired of hearing Tarwin's amazing story.

With friend entry for kids under 4 all year round, and free entry of other children under 16 on weekends and school holidays is a very cheap day out.

My experience here was good. Decent food, decent service at slightly above average prices. The layout is very crowded but the atmosphere is still good.

The majority of the doctors are fantastic. They have a mini nurses station that can perform most small procedures on the spot. They offer blood tests from 8am until 10pm (provided it is referred by one of their doctors) and they bulk bill. Unbeatable.

Approximate cost: $0.00
