I left a glowing review of this business after my first visit with a wonderful nail technician by the name of Kim. Unfortunately my second visit was with a different technician that rushed the job and as a result the quality was sub-standard. I had nails that had begun to lift and rather than fix this first the technician proceeded to patch it up by placing acrylic straight over the top.
I just went in for my 3rd appointment and unfortunately I had the same technician as the 2nd time and she said I would need a new set again. That's not a problem although I wanted her to hear that I wasn't overly satisfied with my last appointment. She wasn't happy hearing my gripes so I said my piece as diplomatically as I could and went on with the appointment.
Unfortunately when she started removing my acrylic nails off manually that's when I had to stop the appointment. I do not enjoy having acrylic nails scraped off my natural nail and advised her I would remove them off with acetone at home. She didn't seem to care except for the fact that I needed to pay her for what work she had done. Which I did.
Kim is a brilliant technician, so make sure you ask for her.

This review is for Laksa Bar, Melbourne VIC

Enjoyed some Laksa at the Laksa Bar today for lunch.
Quick service, friendly staff and a nice place to have work lunch.
I ordered the skinny Laksa with seafood for $15.90. Definitely not stingy with the seafood, chock-full of prawns, squid, fish, mussels and was very tasty. My friend had the chicken Laksa and that was $11.90 and she really enjoyed hers, too.
They do have Eftpos facilities but there is a small additional charge of 50c to use it. Wine and beer are also available to purchase.
Definitely will be back to enjoy other items on the menu as they serve more than just Laksa and the different dishes customers had in front of them looked tasty.
Laksa bar can get very busy with the lunchtime workers piling in so be prepared to not be able to seat a group together during these times.
Sign on the counter also announced that Laksa Bar is now also open on weekends for lunch after 11am. But you might want to just check that with them before heading in on your weekend as I only glanced at the sign.
There is only one unisex toilet, but it was very very clean which surprised me.
Overall, a nice place to eat, food is tasty and the service is fast.

Wow! Prices are the same, or even better, than the bargain stores such as Payless Shoes. The big difference is that the shoes here are gorgeous! They would please any fashionista.

Shoes range from $20 to $50 on average and are amazing and would rival shoes bought at stores like Zu in the $100+ range.

I've told my sister about it (she lives in St Kilda and is a shopaholic) and she hadn't heard of it. The girl in the Frankston store says the Melbourne CBD stores are only located in Spencer DFO and Docklands Harbour Town. Worth going there for these shoes.

The style they do at these stores are the latest in flats, platforms, ankle boots and wedges. Keep in mind that these are low cost shoes and the brands are mainly Pied À Terre and Rebel and in my experience I have needed to take a size smaller than usual as they are a larger fit.

Discover this gem of a shoe store for those fashionable pieces that you do not want to spend hundreds of dollars on.

Be careful, this store may cause an ignited shoe addiction!

Approximate cost: $Average $30 or $40

This review is for JPG's Shoe Repairs, Melbourne VIC

As this shoe repair place is located close to my work I often drop in stilettos that need re-heeling. The owner Russell always asks when I would like them done by and I alway respond by saying "oh anytime really Russell, no rush" and Russell always responds by saying "Is a couple of hours ok?". The guy is awesome and does a good job and cares about his customers.

Last week I went in for something different. I asked about getting a new battery for my watch. Myer had quoted me $50 to replace a D&G watch battery and said they would need to send it away for 3 weeks to get it done. Phewy! Russell did it that day and for only about a third of what Myer was going to charge me...and I picked it up during my coffee break! I won't go anywhere else.

If you are in the CBD this is the man to do your shoes and watch batteries girls! He has that old fashioned customer service sense where he wants you to be satisfied and he takes pride in his business.

PS. The pricing here is what you find in the suburbs or even in the country. I pay the same here as I would in my home town Albury...not the exorbitant prices you'd expect in the CBD

This place in amazing outdoor sculpture park and your visitors from outside of Frankston will be impressed. Do not overlook the gallery inside either! Only a gold coin donation and absolutely fabulous although rather smallish. The outdoor gallery is free and your are welcome to bring your own champagne and picnic basket and enjoy around the lake ... For free! It's really a hidden gem. They do tend to have quite a few private functions on weekends so don't be holding out on breakfast to have a lovely brunch here (it is gorgeous, well-priced food here, too!) as you may be disappointed if they turn you away. Perhaps ring ahead.. We should have. Great place and I will certainly be back this Spring... Armed with my picnic basket.

This review is for Stacks Pancake Bar Karingal, Frankston VIC

I've been here for sweets and I've been here for breakfast pancakes. In my opinion it's better than the franchise pancake businesses out there. Although I'm not a fan of the savoury pancakes I do love my sweets!
Service can be a little slow and I did have to approach staff to remind them that they had forgotten about my drink order, but I think it's more of an issue regarding under-staffing. Im not very fussed about this sort of thing anyway, but thought its worth mentioning as I've never been here prior to watching a movie so time has not been a constraint for me.
We will be back here soon.

Although I don't mind RnB, the music here was wearing thin on me by the end of the night so I ventured out of the main room and into the side bar where the dj was playing some funky soul music and it brightened my mood.
The drinks are pricey. The crowd is quite young, what you'd expect when the music featured is Pitbull's tracks.
Not my kinda club, although I am glad I've seen it. Probably won't be back

This is my last resort supermarket, although its closer to my home than any other. I don't go to this supermarket unless I have to. The variety is limited although that's expected as it is rather small, the issue is more to do with the quality of the food. The vegetables and fruit to me seem to be rather old. One plus regarding this place is the aisle with the pre-packaged deli foods such as the little trays of kabana and cheese etc.

Yes, it's definitely one of those bars you've probably walked past many a time and it's not until someone takes you there that you want to slap yourself in the face for not paying more attention to these little gems right under your nose!

It's next door to Baraki and the giveaway is the bird cage that hangs above the doorway. Through this doorway it's up a narrow flight of stairs and you're in the bar. But don't just stop there, walk to the end of the room and head on up another narrow flight of stairs - now you're on the rooftop and although it's quite intimate it's a lovely space and its about now you slap yourself in the face for not coming here sooner.

Prices are a little high, but hey, you're in the CBD, so it's expected really.

One to definitely make full use of the rooftop during summer!

I think this place is a good place to kick off a night. It's a great place to meet up with friends as Flinders Street station is just across the road and you can have a drink while you think of where to go next - that's during winter. During summer, this place comes into its own as its a hub of people outside in the late afternoon sun enjoying each others company over a glass of wine. Just be careful as this place can sometimes attract the questionable characters praying on the girls that have had a little too much to drink.

Approximate cost: $8 - $9 for a glass of wine
