This review is for Allfix Electrical & Electronic Repair Service, Wodonga VIC

I completed a simple repair on a dishwasher with parts from Allfix for a mere $12 for my investment property.

My property manager had sent her handyman out and he had quoted $220 for the job!

Initially Westinghouse head office directed me to drive a 3 hour round trip to Wagga to pay $40 for the same parts. I knew there had to be a simpler solution. After some googling came across Allfix in Wodonga.

Allfix were very helpful in giving me information about my dishwasher problem and the parts worked perfectly at a fraction of the cost elsewhere... And saved me an unnecessarily hefty repair bill!

I'm heading to these guys from now on for any appliance repairs or parts.

Approximate cost: $12

We actually used to take our old 4WD here for repairs when it was owned by the previous mechanic several years ago. He retired and now Winifred has been taken over by mechanic, Jim. We were hesitant about going back to Winifred's because the previous mechanic had set such a high standard we thought we had just been lucky to find such an honest, fair and diligent mechanic.
Well we needed our new car serviced after it was out of warranty so we took a chance. Not disappointed at all. Did a great job at a fair price and he is also very respectful to women - a really decent guy. We now travel from the city to take our car to Winifred's.

I've only just discovered this little gem because I'm trying to be a new healthier me.
Ok. It's pricey. But everything organic is pricey right? But everything here is interesting and it sure is busy.
The curries an be a little stingy with the meat sometimes.
But they have some wicked cheese flavoure pop corn that will rock your socks and is really cheap! Not sure if it's a markdown clearance or what? But I'm loving it!

I've banke with this country building society since I was 14. I haven't lived in Albury for a few decades but still bank with Hume exclusively and even have a several investment property loans with them. I almost refinance a couple of times before when I was nearly persuaded by financial advisors but I haven't regretted staying with Hume as yet.
None of the big banks can match the service I get (and it usually by phone or email that I contact them as I now live in Melbourne).
I truly hope they stay the same as they have always been and don't end up arrogant like the big four.

Old school nail technician doing nails the way they are meant to be. Remember sculptured nails? The way nails used to be done before the $30 finger choppers sprouted up everywhere?
Take me back to the old school any day.
This nail tech is a keeper.

Approximate cost: $Fair and reasonable for the workmanship involved

My partner and I had the seafood platter for $150 on a weekday to share. It was fresh seafood and a hot selection. Although it was good we were told there was no crab left but that they would include extra Morton Bay Bugs to compensate. I don't think it was extremely good value for the platter we had and we were a little disappointed. Although it was nice, we would have preferred less fried and more fresh seafood. We were both a little peckish still afterwards.
Finger bowls were late to come out and we had to wave the waiter down for a few minutes to get his attention for another glass of wine. But staff were lovely.
I'm not in any hurry to go back for the platter as it simply was missing the WOW we've had at other restaurants serving our favourite meal of seafood on a platter

Approximate cost: $150 for a weekday seafood platter

This review is for The Workshop Bar, Melbourne VIC

My new favourite Melbourne bar!
Funky music, casual place to spend a Saturday night. Friendly bar staff, decent drink prices, and plenty of nooks and crannies to get cozy with your friends.
This bar used to be a mechanics workshop, hence the name. It's upstairs on the first floor and has a decent sized open top terrace for the smokers overlooking Elizabeth Street. Not a pretentious bar, very welcoming, yet very very cool.

Approximate cost: $7.50 for basic spirits

We got grilled fish and chips to feed four adults and we were impressed.
We had four big fish and fresh crisp fries. Not oily stodgy chips or fish here, we were very impressed.
Very clean and spotless takeaway shop with plenty of seating if you want to eat in.
Prices were very reasonable, too.
We will definitely be back for more.

Service plus!

I walked here with my dog to get a costume on a Thursday night expecting the store to be open for late night shopping. They were closed but the owner was inside spin stocktake and was kind enough to let me in and look at the costumes.

What a lovely owner! I noticed a great balloon collection and will definitely be back here for some for my next party!

You don't get this sort of honest and old fashioned customer service in a lot of places anymore. Well done guys!
I'll be back.

This review is for Aesop, Melbourne VIC

I wanted to buy some nice hand wash that would look a little more chic in the bathroom for our guests to use rather than the usual Palmolive hand wash!

It was a splurge for me at $39 but I don't regret it. It's divine. The assistant was very helpful and was happy for me try them. The assistant also was there by side waiting with a fluffy hand towel to dry my hands. Now that's service!

I always resist being pressured into any sort of buy, so I was very pleased that I felt no pressure to buy anything from Aesop.

The biggest surprise was the amount of samples that were given to me to take home to try. Included were some samples of facial wash, toner and moisturizer all suited to my skin type.

The prices are a little indulgent but not exorbitant, as another reviewer stated. I love the packaging. It would look good both in a manly or feminine bathroom. And the hand wash is also scented suitably for both my partner and I.

I think that's what I like most about Aesop and why I've wanted to try it, it's great for both of you and anything from the Aesop range would make a great gift for that special man in your life, whether it be you boyfriend or your grandfather.

The hand wash was $39 and it is a generously sized bottle. It looks great on the vanity.

Great staff. The girl that helped me genuinely appeared to want
to help me and was not driven by the sale.

Now I'm looking forward to trying out my samples tonight!

Approximate cost: $A bit of indulgence but not over the top
