Hello untouched Vinnie's! This is a great little vinnie's as it it's located in little Edithvale.
I've wanted to go here for ages, I see it from my train every morning on my way to work. But I don't live in Edithvale and I've never had the urge to go out of my daily routine just to visit an op shop. I suppose I'm not the only one, and that's what makes it so good!

You actually find good little gems in this one! I was tempted to keep this op shop beauty find as my own little secret.. But that wouldn't be fair now would it?

So enjoy rummaging through this place like have, I'm certain you'll find something unexpected!

Luke warm tea, slow service.
We were there for an express lunch and I personally wouldn't bother with any if the dishes in the $7 to $8 categorary. It seems like a lot of rice and sauce and not much at all in the way of meat and other proteins or vegetables.
The lunch express meals in the $11 price range appear to be a wiser choice.
Not sure about this one. Wouldn't rush back but am still going to give them another shot at some point again.

Approximate cost: $7 to $19

This mechanic is located only down the street from us but we've never though to go here before until our 4wd was practically undrivable and we could only limp the car to here.
This is the sort of place you wouldn't think to go to.
The sign up above the garage is dirty, dusty and the name of the business isn't catchy. The mechanic has his well worn old overalls on and there's his border collie you usually find sniffing around out the front.
Like I said, we had no choice as our car wasn't drivable really so we had to go to Winifred's and my partner and I were a little worried about what kind of work this guy does and how much it's going to cost.
We had our rear wheel bearings replaced by another mechanic 8 months ago (see my other review) and the car never came back quite fixed.
Glad to say that we're more than happy with the work Winifred's has done an grateful we didn't get skinned money-wise either.
In fact, after having it serviced by another mechanic for the past 3 years (again, refer to other review) our car has never in that time come back driving like a new car until now that we've taken it to Winifred's.
It was about 4 weeks ago Winifred fixed up our issue with the wheel bearing and serviced our car. Winced then we've driven it to snowfields every weekend and been very confident that everything is running good.
Naturally, we all judge a business by the way they present themselves to us. I'm really glad that we were forced to use this mechanic because he really seems like a good bloke doin honest work.
All you want is that from a mechanic. Good, honest work for a fair price.
(It's also a nice touch that he cares for his dog and brings him to work everyday).

This review is for Hue Hue Chinese & Vietnamese Restaurant, Springvale VIC

verified email - 20 Aug 2012

The beauty of this place is that it's open in the evening when others have closed for the night. It's Chinese Vietnamese fare. But don't be expecting your full on Vietnamese pho as they only have a small range of that here and only in beef.
I had the cambodian soup and most of it was noodle but still tasty. My dinner date had deep fried spicy pork rib and thought it was fab. The spring rolls with the lettuce And mint along with the dipping sauce was scrumptious.
Service is a little hit and miss. Our waitress was serving the whole floor on her own so we had to be a little patient.
Other than that, is ole old come back but wouldn't have the soup or pho and would go for one of the other dishes instead.

This review is for George's Ski Hire, Mount Buller VIC

verified email - 20 Aug 2012

These guys hire out snowblades. If you're wondering what I'm talking about, they're little skis you use without ski poles. They used to better known about 10 to 15 years ago. Whenever I ask about them at ski shops usually I get a blank stare and sometimes I've even received a somewhat offensive response from staff, like I'm some kind of idiot for requesting a piece of equipment they've never heard of so therefore it must not exist!
This is what actually happened to me at the first ski hire centre I went to at Mount Buller.
But not George's Ski Hire. They had them. They were cheap to hire, too. Good system they have with hiring gear as I was in, kitted out and ready to go faster than the boys at another ski hire centre that only required snowboards!
Just remember you can't hire goggles apparently anywhere on Mount Buller!

We needed a 4wd car battery. Battery World Frankston rates highly for not only a great price but for the service provided to us!
Thanks Battery World we will be coming back for all our battery needs because you are very very helpful and polite! Good old fashioned customer service is a little hard to come by these days. Keep it up!

Oh wow! This is a simple and small chicken shop but don't let that put you off, as the chicken n chips here are amazing!
Cooked very fresh and the owner is very polite, not stingy with his portions and makes sure you get fresh chips!
They also sell American soft drinks, think Dr Pepper, raspberry Fanta etc.
This owner seems like a good boss to, I noticed him being very polite to his young workers.. So support Charm'n Chicken!
You won't be disappointed!

I loved this place!
Skate ramp in the middle of the shop!
Im in my late thirtees, and even though they say the 30s are the new 20s I do still feel a little out of my depth going into some of these stores where the demographics are a lot younger.
Not here! Felt very welcomed and the staff rocked. Great sale on ski clothing as well!
Comfortable store although staff probably not very knowledgable in all areas so don't expect all the right answers to your questions... But if you know what you want then this is the store for you.
They don't carry the toff brands such as Spyder etc but more so the cooler brands with the younger snowboarding crowd... Plenty of Burton and Foursquare...

Great bargains at times here. We picked up some best buys here after exhausting what seemed like every ski shop from the CBD all the way to the South Eastern Suburbs
Very busy store, but staff are very helpful.
Good range to cover all budgets...from those who have money to burn to those more ..well... Like ourselves! On a shoe-string budget!
