Lovely cafe in Coburg mall serving authentic Turkish cuisine. Traditional soups and breakfasts, turkish coffee and tea to have in or take away. I had a good Turkish coffee here to kick start my day. Service was prompt and polite, whilst waiting I saw what attention to detail and passion the cooks put into the breakfasts- will have to try one next time! They have rice pudding and pastries to take away as well which is good for a quick bite.

Approximate cost: $17-18 breakfasts

Great cafe right near the railway station on Albion St. Nice convenient location, good food and coffee. We ordered strong cappucinos and that's what we got, with a nice little soft biscotti on the side, which was a nice touch. Great service, courteous and attentive. Food was very well priced, I had a decent sized fruit salad for 4.50 and my boyfriend had a panini for 8.50. 4.00 for extra shot capp each, we were pleased with our visit and will definitely be back in future. Small cafe but nice and cosy, good place to go to get out of the rain!

Approximate cost: $8.50-12

Great little salon on Albion St, stylish interior and nice and warm! Just what you want when you need waxing done on a cold rainy day. Had my eyebrows done here and it was completed professionally, quick and relatively pain-free. I'm very happy with the result and the service is friendly and welcoming. Flexible with times and they always try to fit you in. I'll be back for a haircut and style next time it needs doing for sure.

Approximate cost: $12 eyebrow touch up

Good reliable place to go for coffee and sweets after a dinner out or for a catch up. Good, smooth creamy coffee and a large range of sweets. they also have a gift range and wedding/baby shower/christening sweets. great place to go if you want to try some different desserts. My favourite is the bird's nest or semolina cake.

Approximate cost: $3.50 coffee, 1.50-onwards sweets

Ordered some drum hardware from these guys after failing to find what I wanted in Melbourne. Service was friendly and courteous, spoke to Curtis over the phone and he was very obliging and helpful. Stands arrived a few days after ordering so they got on it right away and sent them after my phone order was made. Great service and reasonable prices. Good range and reliable stock. I'll come here in future if I need more gear for sure.

Approximate cost: $120

Hanaichi's is a reliable place to go for Japanese curry. Made quickly and quite cheap at $15 for two curries (one regular and one large). Good for takeaway or for a quick bite before doing something in the city. Dining inside is ok but nothing special, I would go the takeaway and find somewhere scenic in the city to eat. Lots of rice and tasty crispy chicken or beef. I have only had the curries from here but they do soups as well. You get what you pay for, more rice than meat but that is to be expected with such low prices. One curry would be about 7.50. Can't beat that at the end of the pay week...
Good flavours and served fast, food is always nice and hot. Not something you would have all the time, but a reliable takeaway.

Approximate cost: $7.50-10.00

A nice place to go on a cold evening - Cosy and warm Good pub food and family atmosphere. Generous servings and served quickly, food is fresh and hot. Wine is fairly expensive at $7 a glass for a house red. Wine was nice and I suppose that is standard pricing but too much if you are having more than one. Fish was nice and flaky and fell apart a lot, which was good for taste but not so good when it comes to trying to pick it up off your plate. Can get noisy in the evenings and they have a two for one menu deal before 6pm which would have been good, had we been earlier!!!

Approximate cost: $17-29

Ordered a coffee here on my way to an exam at the racecourse. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much as I was in last-resort, 'need coffee to make brain work and quick' mode. I was pleasantly surprised by the coffee as it was quite nice. The froth was very creamy and the coffee undertones on the froth was delicious. I would say though, that you would not like this coffee if you like it strong, as it was quite milky. I didn't mind but I didn't end up drinking it all for this reason, too much milk. A lot better than I was expecting, which is always nice though, and conveniently located near the train station.

Approximate cost: $3.50

This cafe is ok if you need a quick coffee fix. Not much by the way of snacks as it is more of a takeaway coffee place. Coffee is ok, nothing special and certainly not surprising or interesting. I wasn't enthused on the coffee like i usually am, even left part of it to go cold, which just goes to show that it was not impressive. Having said that, it was ok, not the worst but not the best coffee I have had recently.

Approximate cost: $3.80

Lovely little cafe right next to/under the Wilson Carpark on Little Collins. I only saw it as there was an open sign flashing, thank goodness though I spotted it! On the way to work and dying for a coffee. Coffee was well made, nice and strong and the barista was nice and courteous, asking me how many shots I wanted (yes, three please). Prices are very reasonable, 3.50 for a large takeaway. Very impressed as the coffee was very strong but not burnt, very hot though but you can expect that when you ask for more coffee rather than milk. They also have a loyalty card which is great. I'll have to try the food next time. Don't be fooled by the gift store appearance, this is a great little cafe.

Approximate cost: $3.50
