This review is for Jacks Fish Shack, Glenelg SA

Jacks Fish (as the name suggests) has a rather large selection of seafood dishes all at reasonable prices. Although it was quite tasty, the chips were slightly soggy and the fish still had quite a few bones, this on two separate occasions eating there. If you're not too concerned with picking out the occasional bone, then the flavours all there, but if you're like me and really don't like bony fish, it would probably be better to go somewhere else.

Approximate cost: $16

Have a nice Sushi range and also do noodles and green tea :) A healthy eating option at Harbour Town which is great if you are looking for a healthy quick snack or meal. Competitively priced for the shopping centre too.

I like this cafe/restaurant for the yummy after dinner authentic Italian gelati ;) A good amount of outdoor seating area which can also be helpful when you are bringing the kids in a pram. Prices are reasonable and what you would expect for a mid range Italian

A great place to stop in for a coffee but if you are looking for a nice meal there are many other nicer places on King William Street for that. I like the alfreco dining area out the front.

This review is for Bicycle Express, Adelaide SA

If you live in Adelaide and am serious about cycling, I'm sure you're already familiar with Bicycle Express. If not, they you have to check them out. I recently purchased my bike from them, and they stock a huge variety. If they don't have something that specifically suits your needs, then pick a frame and get it custom made like I did. Azzuri frame, Ksyrium Elite wheels, Ultegra SL groupset, you can choose whatever you like depending on your budget. They'll also gladly equip a cadence meter or any other do-dads you can think of. I recommend.

This review is for Cumberland Cycles, Cumberland Park SA

verified email - 31 Oct 2009

Cumberland Cycles is a relatively small bicycle sales and service shop, and their personal interaction is rather refreshing. Their prices are also relatively reasonable ($70 for a full bike service). The service isn't the quickest however, and the quality of work isn't perfect (they failed to properly adjust the cables for fluid gear shifts), but they are still very decent. If you plan to buy a bike here, only casual riders need search, if you're serious about cycling and want a high end bike they don't stock anything of that caliber.

This review is for Forbes Meat Store, South Plympton SA

They do a very fine selection of meats all at a reasonable price. Their chicken and lamb shaslicks are especially nice, and they make some rather unusual sausages such lamb and mint. In my opinion they excell in marinating meats. Definately a great place to go if you are having a BBQ.

An excellent place to buy a healthy, yummy and tasty lunch. Their lentil pies are awesme, but be quick as they can sell out in no time. Chicken pies and sausage rolls are also good,. Reasonably priced and excellent quality.

This review is for Lucia's Fine Foods, Mitcham SA

verified email - 31 Oct 2009

Lucias Fine Foods originates from the original store in the Central Markets, an Adelaide institution. They do a tastey lasagne with real ham slices and their tomatoe pasta sauce is second to none, scrumptious. An absolute must to visit Lucias.
