The first time I ever visited here I was really ill, with strep throat, so couldn't eat anything. But hubby was starving after a 4 hour drive, & had the most amazing crab ravioli, for starters. Food envy took hold, & I couldn't help myself, so I forced a piece down. The staff were so sweet, they brought me a bowl of soup "just in case" I felt like eating something, & then wouldn't let us pay for it. We've eaten there 4 times since, & every time the meals have been sensational. I don't normally order steak when I eat out, but the last time we dined here, that's exactly what I had, & boy was it great!
Set in a cute little cottage in the main street, makes for a nice, quiet relaxing dining experience after a hectic day sight-seeing, wine-tasting, or fishing around the region.
Patrizia, the owner-chef, is just gorgeous, & you can just taste her passion for food in the meals that come out of her kitchen.

Approximate cost: $expensive but worth it

Stayed here with hubby about 2 years ago, & have to say it is one of the prettiest places I've ever stayed. The views were breathtaking, especially at sunset! The cottages, if you can call them that, are just gorgeous; they're self-contained, modern & compact, & absolutely spotless. They have everything you need for a cosy get away, including a spa bath for 2!. Lovely fresh produce is supplied for a hearty breakfast, along with some local produce like jams, etc, & some really nice tea. You can bring along your own supplies for meals, but we actually used this as a base for a "gourmet weekend" away, where we sampled a host of local restaurants & wineries.
The hosts are really, really nice people, who obviously love what they do.

This is one of my family's favourite places to eat, especially the vegetarian; she thinks it's great because she can actually pick & choose what SHE wants to eat. I'm quite discerning when it comes to food, & eating out in general, & although I wouldn't call this gourmet food, it's worth the visit just for the theatrical value, especially for kids embarking on their first adventure eating at a "real" restaurant. They get a real kick out of watching their meal get tossed around on the "biggest wok in the world".
There's always plenty of free off-street parking.

This is a great place for just about all everyday items. I regularly visit to stock up on things like wrapping paper, cards & even snack foods. Recently, I stocked up on hubby's "big brand" shaving gel & deodorant for $3 each, that both normally retail for over $5 at the big Supermarkets. (BTW, I got 12 of each, a saving of just over $59). I also get my low-energy light globes here too, because at no more than $3 each, they're a bargain!
This place is definitely worth a visit every few weeks to stock up on everyday items.

I have bought so many cookbooks off this website now, that I wouldn't go anywhere else now. The service is excellent & the range of books is great. They constantly keep you informed of the progress of your order; where it is, when it's due, etc,.
As a member, you can also earn Fishpond credits towards purchases, by being the first to review products, & you also have the opportunity to sell your own books, DVD's or CD's, which for me has been so handy, because I always get cookbooks for Xmas & birthdays, & often end up with 2 or 3 copies of something-or-other.
Their after sales service is also faultless, so if you're not already a member, join up now. I highly recommend them!!

I bought 2 pieces of gym equipment 7 months ago, & was so impressed with the service. My purchases arrived within 2 days of ordering, & at first I was a bit worried about whether the equipment would stand up to daily use, but considering 3 people use both pieces daily, & a 4th person every 2nd day, both pieces are surviving quite well.

Go Bunnings Croydon! Hubby & I have been known to spend a whole day in Bunnings. The staff at croydon are always so helpful. However, we did have an incident about 3 years ago, when we were sold the wrong hardware to hang a painting (which fell & broke) & left a gaping hole in the wall, but the management were very quick to re-imburse us for all costs. I have noticed lately that they don't seem to have the range of stock that they used to have, but it's still fun shopping there.

I bought my car from here when they were John Glynn Ford, & have been having my car serviced here ever since. John in the second hand section is fantastic, a real gentleman, & even after 4 years, still greets me by name every few months when I drop my car off for a service. I think the guys here are pretty good as I've never had a problem with my car in between servicing.

This review is for Saganaki Greek Restaurant, Docklands VIC

Apart from the pork Hubby had, the food here was dreadful. Being Greek myself & a great cook thanks to my Mum & Aunts, I can say that with some confidence. We ate here only about six weeks ago, & considering there were ten or so vacant tables inside, the rude waiter insisted on seating us outside where it was freezing. The service was awful too, when we actually saw our waiters, (3 of them all up), our entrees came before our drinks, then when our mains arrived, I was still waiting for a drink. My souvlaki was the worst bit of meat I've ever had, & for $26 for a bit of meat on HALF, yes half, a pita, you'd expect it to at least be chewable & to get more than one lousy piece of tomato & cucumber with it. This food is so over-priced, too, & I never begrudge what I pay for a meal, unless it's awful...& this was pretty awful.
Thank goodness for the entertainment book, because all up our bill was $130 before the discount, for 2 awful entrees, 2 mains, 2 glasses of wine & 1 glass of soft drink (when it finally arrived) & a very very cold bum.
I think the owners should seriously think about moving to an area where rent is much cheaper & charge what this food is really worth, not what they need to pay the rent.

I've eaten here a few times with Hubby, & we've always had great meals & very good service. I love the diversity of this place; with the gallery upstairs, the gifts & books they sell & although not the best we've had, the wines aren't bad. They also host a lot of musical events, called "On the Green". I haven't been to one yet, but I've seen some fairly big names on the billboard, on my way to work.

Approximate cost: $25-30
