This winery has the most breathtaking views. It seems like you can see the whole world from this gorgeous bluestone building.
There is a small restaurant with an indoor barbie/grill & the food's not bad. The hosts are really lovely people & the wine's pretty good too. Just a little out of Lilydale, traveling towards Healesville, on a small dirt road just past Rochford's Winery, this is definitely a place to visit on a leisurely Sunday, when you're looking for something to do

There's only one word to describe Range..and that's P_E_R_F_E_C_T!! Six stars...Fantastic food, fantastic service & a damn good wine list to boot. This is by far my all time favourite place to dine, & hubby & I eat here every time we go to our holiday shack in Porepunkah, 25 kms away. Everything about Range epitomizes fine dining; the ambiance, the service & the food...oh that food. I've dreamt about it for days after-wards, especially the creme Catalan infused with bay leaf; what a treat. Then there's something as simple as a fennel & feta salad, & that tender, tender goat, & a sensational quail dish with orange. I could go on reciting the menu, but that would spoil it for would-be diners. Trust me, jump in the car & spend a weekend in Myrtleford, just to eat at Range. We also make this our anniversary dining destination, because we know we'll always have a sensational dining experience, not just a meal...it's definitely worth the 298km drive there. Some might baulk at the prices, but like I always say, you can have an ordinary $20 meal & feel ripped off, or worse, forget about it in a few days, but at Range the cost is negligible compared to the experience & the memory.

This is my favourite place to eat at Knox. Having Greek & Turkish heritage, the food makes me feel all warm & fuzzy inside. I don't know whether anything on the menu is actually authentic, but who cares when it tastes so good. Hubby will usually try what's on the specials board, especially if it's fish, & the last time it was fantastic. it was like a stew/soup with fennel & a heap of other vegies. I had the paella, which although not authentic, it was pretty darn good. My favourite thing on the menu is the fattoush salad, followed closely by the meat balls, then the pizzas. All in all, it's always a good dining experience. the service is erratic, however. Some days it's good & others it can be pretty poor. I can honestly say, we've never had a bad meal there. Even our kids love eating there, when we have a family outing, & we usually just order a ton of mezze to share.

My husband & I ate here after a movie a few weeks ago & we were pleasantly surprised. The meals were very good. The cripsy duck roll entree was fantastic, but the scallops weren't great. However the mains were realy good: my lamb shanks were cooked to perfection. Hubby had a steak & it was cooked exactly as we'd asked - rare. The only down-side was that we were seated outside & it was freezing & I'd just got over a nasty virus. We could see a few empty tables inside & althought we were told that they were booked, no-one came for them the whole time we were there...1 & 1/2 hours.

I love these guys! Been a repeat customer now for 5 years & always had a great haircut, except for a recent visit, when I'd had enough od shoulder-length & wanted to go very short, but the stylist talked me out of it...HOWEVER, when I called & explained that I wasn't ecstatic with my cut & really really wanted it very short, they were more than willing to rectify it, that very day, & even though I was willing to pay for another cut, they wouldn't have it. The result is fantastic, as usual. With the budget being a little tight at present, I go on a Mon, Tue or Wed & get a 15% discount, so it works out to be excellent value, considering I used to pay $55 for a hair cut, ten years ago, when I lived in St Kilda.

This is my regular clinic & would never go anyhwere else. All the doctors here are excellent. The waiting time may be a little long at times, depending on who your seeing, but with my GP, he's worth the wait.
The reception staff are also wonderful, & always greet you by name.
The only down-side, for a clinic, is the stairs leading to two of the consulting rooms. I feel sorry for people with wheelie walkers & sticks who have to negotiate these to see their respective GP's.

Leonie is a lovely, soft-spoken woman, who makes you feel comfortable the minute you enter her lovely little room. It's spotlessly clean, & really peaceful. I've been very ill lately, so Leonie started with a thorough consultation then exlained exactly what she would be doing for me & what she was hoping to achieve. She is highly skilled & continually checks with you while massaging about the pressure, which most therapists forget about. She also sends her clients birthday greetings with a discount voucher off your next visit, which I found pleasing & very personal, especially after the few bad months I've had. I recommend her highly.

I visited Kofi for the first time yesterday, & was initally attracted with the sign out front promoting their Moroccan homewares, so went in to persue the Tajines. I was going to sit down & have a coffee, as I'd already had lunch elsewhere, but it was very crowded, & one of the waiting staff (male) was a little rude & seemed put out, & made me feel like I was in the way, so I left. But I'm keen to visit again, as the food looked really good. While I was waiting for some help with a tajine, I asked one of the patrons, who was eating what looked like a really hearty soup/stew, about her meal, & she said it was a little spicy for her but very tasty. I couldn't find a menu, so I'm not sure what's on it, but what I saw looked pretty good.

The meals here are always outstanding, & the quality first rate. One of my (teenage) step-daughters, Sam, thought she was a vegetarian, till we ate here. She was so impressed, she's now motivated to cook decent meals for herself. The only downside for us is the distance, but thanks to the new Eastlink, we'll be dining there more frequently. In fact we've already planned her birthday dinner here, in 3 weeks. The meals are really good value & I can't recall anything over $12, & entrees a scheap as $3-4. They're good sized portions, & I love the way the menu has little symbols to let you know about vegan, & gluten free meals.

Approximate cost: $11?
