This facility was my mother's home for the last year of her life. It is not as well known in this area as some but it is a wonderful place with wonderful staff. When you walk into the lobby you would think that you were in a luxurious hotel with chandeliers and mirrored elevators. The accommodation is also refined and has a french provincial style that is very appealing. The staff are great and become very close to family members as well as residents. It is also not as expensive as some of the equivalent places close by. Well worth considering if you are looking for an aged care facility.

This facility is only 3 years old. It is modern and beautifully appointed. Being almost on the corner of Glenferrie Road it is also close to a great shopping and cafe precinct. The decor is particularly modern being in beige and browns. All the furniture is that modern chocolate brown colour so popular at the moment. This, unfortunately, was a negative for my step-father as he found it dark, cold and impersonal. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful and I understand that friends have relatives here who are very happy but the modern look is not for everyone. Facilities overall seemed excellent.

This aged care facility is a lovely older style home. It only houses 58 residents so it is not a very large place. What is nice is the relaxed family cosy atmosphere. It is not cold and clinical like some places I have seen. At present I am researching places for my step-father. The main drawback of The Armitage is that they do not allow residents to have their own car. My step-father still drives so this was a deal breaker for him. You also cannot bring a motorised wheel chair and as he has trouble walking and weak arms this was also a problem. If it were not for these two issues he would have liked to move in as he felt it was like an old English B & B.

This a small cafe with limited seating. Their service procedures leave something to be desired as only one guy makes the coffee and takes the order. We had to wait quite awhile to get served but he was friendly and once the order was made we got our food quite quickly. I enjoyed my smashed avocado $12. Served on 2 slices of bread which I like. My friend had an omelette and he enjoyed that. Coffee was good too.

We have been coming here for a long time. Unfortunately the prices have gone up and they have changed their menu and their bread but it is still quite a nice cafe. The coffee is quite ordinary and often not great but the food is good. They also offer free wifi so we will still come but not as often.

This place used to be called "Watch this space". Officially it is now called O Kitchen but there is no signage on the building. I book a dinner over the phone but since I hadn't been before I was looking for a sign when we arrived. I went up to the waitress outside and asked her what the name of the place was. She said it didn't have a name, which I thought was really weird, but a waiter nearby heard me and said, yes, it is O Kitchen. Very strange and a bit suspect. Anyway, we had a reasonable dinner. My risotto was ordinary. My sister had a salad which was also just ok. Not cheap. The stand out was the dessert. We had the $10 Baklava ice cream which was yum. I wouldn't like to go back except for that.

Great location right on the river. We came here for a lovely Saturday morning breakfast and it was the highlight of my visit. I had the smashed avocado and it is a huge serve on lovely dark rye. Considering that this is a very touristy area the prices are quite reasonable. Definitely recommend.

We went for a walk along the river and chose this restaurant based on the menu outside. We were told, when we decided to order, that that was the weekend menu and many items were not available. I don't know why they put this menu on display during the week when it's not available. Anyway, we ordered food and it was tasty but very very small. Just as well we were only interested in a light lunch. It was quite expensive for what we had. Nice view but we wouldn't go back.

My friends recommended this place. We went for the 5.30 - 6.30 half price dinner, which was just as well. It's very expensive so even half price was not cheap. Meals are around $40 or more. Even pasta. We all found the meals over-sauced and not Greek in flavour at all. Lots of cream and heavy saucing. The venue is lovely and we had a lovely view. We wouldn't go back.

Tucked away in the old Regent theatre lobby this is a little haven. It is very dark inside but that could add to atmosphere. I came in to try the advertised Bircher Muesli and I was not disappointed. They advertise it as a baby Bircher with a small price, under $8, but it was quite generous and ample with a lovely coffee. Would definitely return even though the service was a little indifferent.
