I always thought the Mesa Lunga looked great and have wanted to go for quite a while, but we were all so disappointed. When we arrived it was only 5.30 and the attached Sangria bar wasn't open yet, so we sat at the restaurant bar (we were booked in for dinner at 8pm) while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. We asked the bar tenders if they could let us know when the Sangria bar was about to open so we can go and find a good possie. Well, they didn't. Just after 6pm we thought that we would check the bar, and it was open and full of people. A little annoyed, we made our way into the bar while we waited for our restaurant table. Just before 8pm I went into the restaurant. Without bothering to check the bookings, the very unfriendly male staff member rudely told me that I didn't have a booking at 8pm and that it was 8.30. When I explained that only today I had confirmed an 8pm booking, he again rudely told me that they never book anyone for 8pm, only 6.30 and 8.30 and he walked away leaving me standing there. 8.30pm I went back and got a different staff member this time, she was a bit more helpful and said that yes I was booked for 8pm and that she came to try and find me after I was sent away. The original staff member was there at the time, so considering he was so rude to me earlier, I mentioned to him that the woman had just confirmed that I did book for 8pm. He again rudely responded in an inappropriate tone something like “oh well I can make a mistake…”. All that aside, the food was OK (only OK), the restaurant was so noisy that we had to yell at each other at the table to be heard. None of us will be going back. As for the Sangria bar, well that is another (but similar) rating story – see Sangria Y Pintxos Bar.

We visited Concubine on a Thursday night after 9pm and we were very impressed. I am not usually one to like Chinese food but I quite enjoyed the meals here. The Peking duck wraps and the Salt and pepper whole quail were apparently excellent. I had the Beijing shallot cake for an entrée which was very tasty with an unusual pastry texture. We had a few Yum Cha dishes for mains and they were all very nice. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was warm and relaxing.

This little bar has a great atmosphere with its dimmed lights and retro décor. They often host art exhibitions which add even more interesting things to look at. Their wine list is quite decent and so are their boutique beers …not to mention their cocktails! They have food to snack on (their shoestring fries with aioli were very tasty), and they have more substantial meals too which looked good. You can even book a table so you can guarantee that you have a cosy spot to sit as soon as you walk in – a great service that may bars do not offer. I have been here a few times now and I am definitely going back.

This review is for La Trattoria, Adelaide SA

I have visited La Trattoria on quite a few occasions in the past and the meals have always been very nice, however, I am not sure if something has changed recently, but the last couple of times I had a meal I have been very disappointed. On my last visit with some friends, the pizza was OK, but defiantly not wow, the pasta sauce (Spinach Gnocchi with Sundried Tomato & Marscapone Cheese $24) didn't taste fresh and it reminded me of the cheaper not so nice cream sauces that Primo make. I had the Risotto Al Porcini ($22) and it was dry and it the rice didn't resemble Arborio rice at all.

I went with a group of people for a friends birthday. Everyone agreed that the meals were absolutely beautiful. I had the fried zucchini flowers for entree which were very nice. Apparently the Coorong Angus beef was fantastic. Great wine list too. Quite expensive though (as are these types of high quality restaurants), but for somewhere special - I would recommend it.

We ate in the restaurant but they also have a Thali Room which I have been told is very good. Although we all enjoyed our meals, we agreed that it wasn't the best Indian food that we have had. They have a nice selection of cocktails and if you don't like Indian food, they also have British style dishes. The atmosphere is intimate with dim lights and dark woods. A great place for a group of friends or a couple.

I have had coffee here before, which was OK, but this was the first time I had a meal. I was very disappointed. I had one of the only vegetarian options on the menu, the vegetarian pasta (broccoli, mushroom, roasted capsicum and spinach in a napoli sauce). It was awful. The sauce tasted like they just tipped in a tin of canned tomatoes, the penne pasta was so overcooked that it was mushy, the broccoli was gritty and the whole lot was sitting in about a cup of watery liquid. I was hungry but I couldn't eat very much of it. For $16.90 it was a total rip off. My friend had a foccacia which she said was reasonable, $9.90. I mentioned to the waitress that the pasta wasn't very nice and that it was very watery. She said sorry but didn't seem to be worried. To top it off, the house wine was terrible, very cheap and nasty. We wont be back.

I have used these guys a few times now and they seem to do a great job and are very friendly. It is only a small workshop but they seem to be quite busy. They also specialize in European cars. They always explain everything to me in detail and are very helpful. I am not sure why it is called 'Mobile' because I don't think that they actually have a mobile service. Their prices are very reasonable.

Depends on the day as to whether the staff are friendly or not. The food is OK, snack bar quality. They have specials sometimes though which adds a bit of variety. Baked Potato's and Tuna Mornay was the latest one. The coffee is good though. The decor is a bit to be desired. It could do with a bit of fresh paint because it always looks a bit dirty which makes the atmosphere a bit so-so.

I work in Currie Street so I have been here quite a few times for coffee or lunch. It was once quite good value but recently I think the food has gone downhill. The coffee and cake is OK and the staff are quite friendly but it wouldn't be a place I would go to for a nice lunch anymore. Last time I visited for lunch my pasta was quite cold and my friends pasta had a hair in it. I haven't been back since.
