Their fruit and veg is always fresh. I live very near to this shop and see them arrive in the early hours of the morning with their products fresh from the market. It seems like a family run business and they are all very friendly and helpful.

The menu leaves a lot to be desired for vegetarians. You can have the salad bar for $8.50 (hardly good value!). About the only thing (other than vegetarian lasagna) is a bowl of chips which were a bit too fatty for me. Seems like a construction workers pub (lots of that going on around the area) with huge schnitzels served in the front bar. We ordered a vegetarian pizza once and had to send it back twice, first time it was still frozen in the middle and the second time it was just soggy. They did give us a refund. The new booths in the Lounge Bar provide a nice place to sit with friends and have a quick lunch if you don't want to sit in the restaurant or in the 'blokey' front bar. We would go again because it is the only pub in Mawson Lakes, and we would only go for a drink in the lounge bar.

We eat here often. Mostly in the punters bar out the back, but sometimes in the restaurant. Both areas have great food so it depends on whether you want 'pub' food or restaurant style meals. The schnitzels in the Punters Bar are great value at around $10 and they use quality meat. The restaurant area has a very pleasant feel about it and the staff throughout the pub are very friendly and helpful. You can buy a bottle of wine in the drive through and pay $4 for corkage to take it in with you. The only thing is that their ice tastes muddy - need to get a new supplier.

Approximate cost: $13 in the Punters Bar

The environment is very pleasant with a 70's style decor. The food is good and they have a salad bar including hot vegetables (you don't see this that often anymore). The staff are very friendly and are happy to take drink orders at the table (again not often seen anymore). They need to change their ice supplier though - makes your drink taste like mud.

The food is great. The menu caters to a broad range of tastes and is quite good value. The service is good and you usually get served quickly. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. There is a fire place burning in the winter which adds to the ambiance. Usually quite busy.

The food is typical pub food, not outstanding but OK. We usually sit in the Goody Bar (front bar) but there is a bistro area (out the back). The staff are usually quite friendly but don't really go out of their way. Last time we went there we were eating our meal (around 7pm) and they were packing up the tables and chairs around us (we think because a band was coming on later), but they certainly didn't try to do it quietly or unobtrusively. The guy doing it really spoiled the atmosphere. We felt like we had to hurry up and eat and get out. We would go there again but only if we didnt have anywhere else to go.

We go here often. The food is always good and the service is friendly. The beer garden is a relaxing and pleasant environment in the summer (although they do have heating outdoors in the winter). They also have a bistro and restaurant depending on your preference. The food is tasty and good value. The Avoca Affogatto is the best.

Typical pub environment - decor is not that great. Everything seems quite old and in need of a good make over. But, the food was good. Well cooked and fresh ingredients. Service was very friendly.

The falafels are some of the tastiest I have found. The staff are friendly. We have ordered falafels for parties in the past. $1 per falafel. However last time we ordered 30 and picked them up, but when I got home, there were only 22 in the box. Opps. I rang them and they were very apologetic and they met me out on the footpath with 15 more when I had to drive back to the shop. Great falafels, but just count them at the shop if you are buying them in bulk.

Great range of casual fashion including many different jeans brands and RM Williams fashion and boots. The best place to buy Levi's in Adelaide. The staff are usually very helpful and friendly (although sometimes some of the very young staff don't seem to eager). Often have sales. There's a clearance store accross the road
