Great cafe down in Snug Cove overlooking the wharf (funny that!) where the views are great and the coffee is pretty good as well. We went here with some friends the other morning for a late breakfast / brunch - three got the Bacon, Eggs and Tomato (2 with fried eggs and one with poached) and I got the Eggs Benedict - I was offered ham or bacon - I asked for bacon but got ham instead. They weren't that busy so I was surprised my order wasn't quite right but I didn't bother sending it back.
My partner asked for some tomato relish as she has had it before and our friends asked for some too. It was supposed to be homemade but we found out from the owner later that it is Masterfoods Green Tomato Relish. Another thing I noticed is that they poach their eggs in a microwave poacher - not something I would expect in a cafe.
Overall it was an enjoyable meal in a great location at a reasonable price. The owner was happy to take a photo for us at the end of our meal.

I travel frequently between Melbourne and Southern NSW and always stop in Cann River for a break. Pelican Point Coffee Lounge has the best Coffee in Cann River and also has a great range of takeaway food including muffins, slices and sausage rolls. If you need a break and a pick me up I definitely recommend getting your coffee from here.

They have Yum Cha daily for lunch. Went here for lunch last week with Mum, Dad, my sister and my niece and we had a lovely lunch. We only had Chinese Tea to drink but we definitely ate our fill and the bill came to about $100 for the 5 of us (we had a voucher to get a discount though which was nice).
All the usual Yum Cha offerings - defintely make sure you get the Garlic Prawn Rolls ... they are delicious!
Approximate cost: $25
This used to be the old Stardust Cafe in Bayswater and the same people own the Bayzie Dumplings House. Great selection of dumplings and Chinese inspired dishes. Very good value prices as well.
I can highly recommend the Pork and Prawn dumplings - you are only looking at about $12 for 10 dumplings. A couple of plates shared between a few people is often enough.
Whilst I miss their Eggs Benedict from the old days I'm glad that they are cooking from their own culture now!

Great little Chinese / Vietnamese Restaurant in Bayswater. Really good value for eat in or takeaway. You can get a lunch here for two people for around $25!
If you have a larger party than four make sure that you book ahead. They are always really busy. The owner loves to have a joke and a laugh with the customers and the staff are always friendly.
Can't finish your meal? Just ask and they will give you takeaway containers to put in into.

Mei Jing is our go to Chinese Restaurant for takeaway or for Yum Cha on a Sunday. Excellent quality food and good service.
Takeaway / Home Delivery is available and you're looking at about $60 for 2 x mixed entrees, 2 x mains (e.g. Chicken & Cashews, Beef in Black Bean) and a large special fried rice that easily does 2 people for 2 meals.
Yum Cha on the weekends is fantastic. They have two sittings - 11:30am and 1pm. You get all the usual Yum Cha delights but you can also order off menu items. Be sure to ask for the prawn rice noodles - they are awesome. We usually go in a group and it ends up costing $25 to $30 each including a couple of drinks!
Approximate cost: $30
Great little bistro for family dining with all of your favourites on the menu and a great view during the day. Lunch prices are definitely cheaper than the dinner menu but overall is the same price that you would pay at your local pub.
Also has a gaming room and TAB downstairs.
A great little Chinese Restaurant and Take Away in Eden. Has really good lunch specials and their prices are great compared to other take away places in the town. Chicken, Beef and Pork dishes from $15.50 - not the most amazing Chinese that we have ever had but there is no MSG and it is quite tasty.
Sprout is a great little cafe in Eden that serves great coffee and meals over breakfast and lunch. It also sells fresh, organic fruit and vegies and also a range of locally produced goods.
Their coffee is great and the service is awesome.

I was wandering down Manly's famous Corso and I had noticed this sushi bar and as I was by myself I thought I would go in and try it. ALL sushi plates on the conveyor belt are $3 at lunchtime. I tried a few different things ... some nigiri, boats, sushi and some Chicken Karaage washed down with a couple of beers. Great value and excellent quality.
