The Fig Tree at Eumundi is a beautiful place to have breakfast before heading into the markets. We went here on a Wednesday morning during school holidays and decided to have breakfast here.

I had the Full Breakfast which included Bacon, Sausage, Hash Brown, Tomato, Baked Beans and Mushroom with Toast and 2 eggs any way (I had fried). Sharon had the Eggs Benedict (she had been hanging for it for a while) with Smoked Salmon. Both meals were delicious!!! I asked for some Tomato Sauce and they brought out a Tomato Relish that was to die for ... there were tastes of Cumin, Mustard Seeds, Capsicum and Tomato in the relish ... OMG ... it was awesome!!!

The coffee is good as well and if you go into the deli they will get you a tub of the Tomato Relish for $5.50 for the small tub and $9.50 for a big tub. We got the big tub and brought it back to Melbourne with us and have used it as Pizza Sauce and as a relish as well. I offered extra to get the recipe but it was not forthcoming =)

I would highly recommend The Fig Tree ... get a feed into you before you tackle the markets.

We had a great night at the Reef starting with a nice meal ... pub prices and good quality. I had a delicious steak (the 360gm Filet Mignon) and Sharon had a Seafood Basket.

We had a play on the pokies and keno and won a bit of money before heading to the bottle shop to grab a few drinks to take home with us.

Great food, reasonable prices and everything that you would want from a pub ... we had a great night.

We went here a couple of times in our few days in Noosa. The first time was just for a drink which was quite enjoyable.

The second time we went here was for breakfast and it was amazing. Poached Eggs on Turkish Bread with Smoke Salmon and a Basil Pesto ... OMG ... it was fantastic.

The service is great and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the establishment and I would highly recommend it. The coffee was pretty good too.

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our recent trip to QLD and wished that we had stayed here longer. I had booked here in a Penthouse Suite as a surprise for my girlfriend for her birthday and she was stoked!!!

The room was great but the highlight was the private rooftop spa and BBQ and we spent plenty of time in the spa.

The Noosa Blue is a short walk to either the hubbub of Hastings Street or the centre of town.

I would highly recommend Noosa Blue for a stay on the Sunshine Coast ... and if you want something special then go for a Penthouse Suite =)

We stopped here on the way to the Sunshine Coast for lunch and a beer. We shared some Salt and Pepper Calamari which was delicious. The beer was cold and there are heaps of old cartoons around the place from Ken Maynard whose cartoons were an integral part of the Australasian Post.

Definitely a great place to stop and get a feed and a cold one and also to get some pics of the famous Ettamogah Pub.

We had a great day at Dreamworld and Whitewater World with my two boys and one of their girlfriends. Unfortunately the Q4U service wasn't working so we didn't get on as many rides as we would have liked but it was a great day anyway.

Sharon and I had also been here for a Big Brother Eviction Show earlier in the week when Tully was evicted. Sharon loved it ... I wasn't quite so thrilled having been to a few back in the early 2000's.

All in all a great day was had. I would highly recommend getting a yearly pass if you plan on going more than a few ties during the year.

This review is for Meriton Apartments, Broadbeach QLD

We stayed at the Meriton Apartments in Broadbeach for 4 nights recently. The check in was easy even though we arrived quite late at night. The room was a one bedroom apartment on the 27th floor with a great view over the ocean and towards the lights of Surfers Paradise. It was so close and convenient to everything that we wanted to do ... a reunion at the Envy Hotel, the Casino, Moo Moo the Wine Bar and Grill and both the Oasis Shopping Centre and Pacific Fair.

We got a great deal through the internet and the apartment was great. The only complaint I would have is with the shower head which was pretty touchy and hard to get right. The other facilities that we utilised included the indoor swimming pool and the spa.

I would highly recommend the Meriton Apartments for those looking for a reasonably priced central place to Broadbeach and would definitely stay there again.

This review is for Moo Moos Restaurant, Broadbeach QLD

What can I say about this Gold Coast icon? Moo Moo's the Wine Bar and Grill is THE BEST steak restaurant on the Gold Coast (and also in Brisbane and Fiji as well). Steve and Amber have done wonders with this place and it is my go to place for a memorable evening.

It's not cheap but the quality is amazing ... I last went there a couple of weeks ago with my girlfriend and we had the most amazing dinner ... we started with Scallops and I had the Bloody Mary Oyster Shooters and for mains I had the Rib Eye on the Bone and Sharon had the Pork Belly.

Their wine list is extensive and there is always something on the drinks menu to please. Although they didn't serve my favourite red by the glass anymore they had something that they could recommend. The staff are very knowledgeable and will point you in the right direction with both the food and drinks.

This is my favourite restaurant EVER and I am slightly biased about it but they are up there with the best. It's not the sort of place that you go all the time ... it is a special occasion place ... but they always deliver the goods.

This review is for Mandarin Court, Mermaid Beach QLD

Mandarin Court is one of the best Chinese restaurants on the Gold Coast and has been a popular part of the Mermaid Beach restaurant scene for a long time.

They do Yum Cha daily and it is great with all the usual dishes that are available for a good Yum Cha. The decor is authentic although a little tired ... it has been the same for pretty much 20 years and who knows how long before that?

Their take away menu is one of the best on the Gold Coast and the prices are reasonable.

A group of about 30 of us went here for a 20 year reunion for work. The area they had set aside for us was ample although they didn't start serving drinks in our area for quite a while. Beverages are at normal bar prices and although I didn't eat the menu seemed reasonable value.

They did open up our area as a nightclub about 10:30pm so we pretty much had to vacate. It would have been nice if they had something separate for us.
